I head that MG actually funded the movie out of his own pocket in the first place, which could be seen as somewhat charitable... assuming that it never made a notable profit (and lets face it, it probably did). Anyway, I digress.

Films I haven't seen that lots of people apparently have:
The Terminator Films (No really. I even own the DVDs and I have never seen them!)
The Matrix Revolutions (I saw the second one, so I can be excused)
Resident Evil (Plenty of people I know champion it as the best Game to Movie ever. I say "Bob Hoskins as Mario" and we adknowledge that RE hasn't actually achieved much by earning that title)
The Sixth Sense (Yet, like everyone under the sun, I know the ending!)
and The Passion of the Christ... though TBH, I don't know a single person who has seen it anyway.

Some movies I haven't seen (both for a personal choice or not):

The original King Kong ( but I've watched the remake... )
The Scream series (I've watched only some scenes from each movie)
The American Pie series ( I couldn't stand watching a whole movie like those )
Traffic ( I got no comments for this one )
Pearl Harbor ( sounds like nobody has seen it )
Unforgiven ( this is a REAL shame! )

Haven't watched this one too... The second was pure s**t IMO, so I refused to go to see the third chapter

Haven't watched Traffic as well, but I plan to watch that movies ASAP. I thought more than once about renting it.

I haven't seen the 3rd matrix either,

The second one was just awful, no where near as good as i thought it would be. What was with the whole rave party scene.. ..It was like Mtv made the movie or something..

I haven't watched any Spiderman movie, Pirates of the Caribbean, any of the latest James Bond's, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Shakespeare in Love, Braveheart. Just to name few...

"Pirates of the Caribbean" is honestly a silly movie and the only good thing about it was the acting of Johnny Depp...he played his role perfectly, but otherwise the movie is just all glitz and glam, IMO.

I also didn't see "Matrix Revolutions" because I didn't have the time but also the second film was just ridiculous, so I don't know if I'll even see it.

I've heard it: that Johnny Depp was the only good thing in it. Then why are they making the second movie? Oh, yes, money... Maybe I'll rent it, just for fun.

I can say this becaus ei too am a catholic, but i can see how tempting it is to want to keep that kind of money. I saw it myself and thought it was worth watching but if your gunna make a movie above Jesus Christ our Lord why don't you do as the old woman did in the bible and give all her possesions to someone who needed them more even though she had so little herself whereas the greedy rich man only gave some pennies. Some times the smallest donations can mean the world.
Just wanted to post this in reference to this quote...

"Gibson Donates 'Passion' Profits to Hospitals

Movie star Mel Gibson has donated a staggering $5 million from the proceeds of hit film The Passion Of The Christ to help underprivileged children. Gibson split the sum between Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and UCLA's Mattel Children's Hospital. The money will specifically help pediatric patients from poor countries where the necessary medical care isn't available or affordable. A source close to the 48-year-old say he also donated in excess of $1.5 million to cover the 23-hour operation to separate conjoined twins Maria De Jesus and Maria Teresa Quiej Alvarez at UCLA in 2002."

I just saw this and thought I'd post it that's all.

But to keep this thread on topic....

I still haven't seen:

Passion of the Christ - Don't really care to either
8 Mile - Would like to at some point.
The Royal Tenenbaums - Being a Ben Stiller fan I do want to see this.
Starksy & Hutch - Really must get around to seeing this.
Elf - Do want to see this.

And Loads others which I can't think of right now.
The main reason I haven't seen alot of films that I want to is due to the fact I can't afford to go to the cinema too often so alot of films get missed, and there's no Blockbusters nearby so I never really rent stuff, so I usually have to wait till there on the tv!

On that subject, I haven't seen many Horror movies at all... All that I could list are the Ring and Alien (Love the later, thought the former was pretty crap). It's not that i'm scared, I'm just not really into Horror at all. Seems all a bit trashy to me

On the Matter of 'The Ring'.. Have you Seen 'Ring' or 'Ringu' as is it's original title. I haven't seen the remake but I can bet it's nowhere near as good as the Original! The Original scared the bejesus outta me! It's extremely creepy.

Just remembered I haven't seen 'Lost in Translation' which I still really want to see.
I have however seen all the Freddie Krueger films around the time they came out which was when I was little and I had nightmares for weeks... I can't watch them to this day as it brings back all the trauma!

I'd advise you not to see the remake because it's just total fluff. Unless, of course, you like a lot of "ehancement" to add creepiness or "dullness" of the original, then go ahead. I personlly, loved the original.

Well, I hope you like it better than me...I hate this film with a passion, no joke. It's not the actors, it's just the movie/story and characters overall.

Yeh I Loved the Original too, and I refuse to see the remake because it's american and shouldn't have been attempted!

Well I'm not a fan of Scarlett Johansson, I just don't like the fact she popped out of nowhere, worked on 2 critically acclaimed films and so now is huge! But I am a fan of Bill Murray so I'll give it a go!

I don't know... I think the remake of The Ring is a more refined product than the original, and shows a little more professional ability from actors and director etc... Also the screenplay is less dispersive and more pregnant and effetive from the point of view of the narration compared to the three (well in reality is four) movies of the Ringu saga. It's true they added cheesy particulars that weren't part of the Japanese movies, but I didn't like the original. Not that I'm a fan of the remake either...
