Thought I'd be a bit nosy

At 1st I was having a hard time trying to decide if I wanted to be an Architect, Automechanic, Construction Worker, Artist, and Graphic / Game Designer. I even thought about becoming an actor, but that was quickly shattered when I didn't want to be in the spotlight.

I've got it narrowed down, but I'm still having a hard time because I've always been told that I should have a backup plan incase one doesn't work out.

Right now I'm aiming to become an Automotive Technician (sp?) with this forum advertising my choice of school . I'm just trying to get a job so I can start saving up to relocate.

So what's your major, and if you're not in college yet, what are you thinking about taking up?

I have a history degree. Somehow. It's great for anecdotes, but it's no solution to what I want to do, right now. I think I'm going to ultimately complete a masters degree in gender studies and lecture, all things willing.

Hurray for careers! Its usually hard choosing what you want to go to school for. I know people who have done the whole school thing and still don't know what they wanna be! And a few that have moved onto something completely different than what they started out with.

I "finished" my College schooling last December in Multimedia/New Media. Its only a diploma, so I could defiantly go back for more. One of my instructors there actually had his Dr. in Multimedia (a Dr. in Multimedia?!). But it was well worth it, I now have a nice cushy job at that college as a Media Specialist.

Going to school for something you really enjoy is worth it. So whatever you end up doing, I say good luck to you good sir!

Whatever you do, I would recommend getting an internship. That is key.

just about to enter my second year, and im trying to stick with Computer Science. i've only had two programming courses so far, but since i got a D in the last class...it kinda made me rethink the whole situation (that and i realized i was slacking waaay too much for a topic that i was completely unfamiliar with this time last year, and of course even now).

so in short, im giving it another go later this quarter - made sure my class load is a little bit lighter to accommodate more time for programming stuff - so hopefully it turns out better this time around

Currently taking a break from pursuing my Accounting degree. I intend to become a CPA.

Well I'm planning on starting a year course in multimedia this September, which should hopefully be interesting.
So far I'm looking into going into videogaming industry, but I'm still keeping my options open in case that doesn't work out.
