Name The New Dog!!!

OK, here's the deal. My parents got themselves a new dog

, and while thats all great everything, whoever owned him before gave him the name Truman. As most of you will immediately agree, we cannot let him have a name like that! Poor thing!

Well, I've been coming up with possible names and while I was doing it, I thought, wouldnt it be fun to post a thread where some of my fellow PS2Fantasyers could provide name ideas. First of all, keep in mind, I am not promising my parents will use one ot the names you guys provide, but it would be fun to try, nonetheless. Would it not?

Ok... so before you start throwing out random names... You might want to know that the dog is a male shetland sheepdog (like a collie kinda but smaller) and is mostly black including on his face with a partially white underbelly and a big white patch behind his head and he had some brown spots.

Sorry we cannot promise one of your names will be used... but try anyways

Actual Name Pick: I myself would go for an old classic. My friend has a dog very similiar to that breed. He named it Shadow, so that is my suggestion.

OK... so we named the DOG! I will tell the name at the end of the post.

First, my apologies, i am going to have to tell you that it could not ultimately be one of the ones you guys mentioned, however I would like you to know we liked and/or considered some of the following:

Arrow
Sly
Nicodemus
Boomerang
Diego
Max (Maximilliano was also one of my ideas)
Buddy (we were calling him that anyway between names "hey buddy!")
Enrique (unfortunately thats also my uncles name... sorry REChick)
Jack
Cloud
Trent
Shadow (We REALLY liked this one... in fact it ALMOST won! We almost made up our mind on it! perhaps a middle name? heh)

Other names I came up with:

Pacino (heh)
Zapatico (means little shoe in spanish... has a special meaning in colombia)
Pacer
Absynthe (bwahahaha)
Rafael (Rafael is actually my dads name so Raf Jr... lol)
Maximilliano (Max for short... I have a cousin named this)
Zacharias or Zachory (Zack for short... this one almost worked out too)

When it came down to it, though, our new friend looked endearlingly like Oreo. His name is Oreo!

I had remembered writing a story when I was a little kid with a guy who had a dog named Oreo because I thought it was the perfect name for a dog. I brought it up and both of my parents loved it.

So I guess you could still take out of this thread something... a lot of good name ideas for your next new dog or cat... or even... kid?!

And on that note let this thread be proof of how hard I thought about this and other people as well so our new dog feel loved.
