For those who have siblings, what was one or a few of the most annoying, irritating, aggravating things they have ever done to you? It could be anything that really got you so pissed that you physically wanted to hurt them.
Here's one of mine that happened just yesterday: I went searching for this notebook in my sister's room that I use to practice drawing poses, figures, faces, etc. and some of these were my favorites even though they were just sketches/doodles. The reason why it was there in her room was because she had to go to class this one day and I brought the notebook with me to keep myself company. Afterwards, we went shopping and we bought large items that I had to put in my bag (which was larger), so I had to transfer the contents in my bag to hers (which included that notebook). Later, I didn't have time to get it out so I left it there, thinking it was safe. But gee....I find out yesterday that she threw it away thinking it was one of her own notebooks from school! I mean, she didn't even bother checking the inside to see if it was indeed hers or not!! She just assumed and pitched it! I'm so furious only because this isn't the first time she has done something like this. She never checks...she never learns from her past mistakes. And true, I should know better than to leave anything in her possession for more than a minute, but I thought she would've...oh, I dunno...be a bit more responsible, being the older one of us!!! And if this wasn't irritating enough, she never admits she's wrong. She argued and fought with me all through last night! And the big kick in the head is this one phrase she said: "That's the way I am, take it or leave it" :irked: I'm just so fucking pissed right now...and heartbroken about the loss of those drawings. Not only drawings, but also my grueling works of translations on Japanese recipes I wanted to make. Those translations took me about a week...every night, with a Japanese dictionary searching for those characters, finding out the meaning, putting the words together. ![]() Oh well, I guess. Time to get over it and stop being "so sensitive" as my sister so cruelly put it.

One day, my little bor thought it would be funny to erase all of my final fantasy save files. As some of you may know, I am so addicted to the final fantasy series. I swear I've never been more angry at my bro than I was then. There are very few things that get me mad too, so lets just say he avoided me for about a week afterwards.

I remember one time. this happen about 5-6 years ago.. i was laying on the ground with my pillow just watching tv, minding my own buisness..when that demon came and sat down by me. Then my mother called her, and when she got up to see what was going on.. she supported all her weight on my face with her hand, to push herself off the ground..mostly on my nose!
..dammit that hurt!..I was so mad i got up to chase her, but i coudn't see straight because she damn near crushed my nose and my eyes were all watery..so i sorta stumbled after her, but i was too slow and she made it to her room. By the time i got to the door she had already barricaded herself behind it and all i could hear was her laughing at me cause i almost fell while chasing her .. It's all good though, cause i got her back..she use to get up all the time in the middle of the night for water, so i put some cat toys in front of her door and she slipped on one and messed up her ankle for a few days.

I have two older sisters that are twins. They work as a team so I have no one to back me up when we have a fight. I cant remember when this happened but Ill tell ya anyway. My sister casey had been calling me names and teasing me so I thought I would get revenge. I knew that she had a favorite barbie doll. It was dressed like a ballerina. Well I took that and threw it into the trash. I was going to take it out since I felt bad but totally forgot about it. The next day I went looking for it and saw that the trash can was empty! My grandma had put it with the garbage out front and the garbage truck took it away. I felt sooo bad cuz that same day my sister was looking for it. For a while she didnt know it was me that gave away her favorite doll. Guilt caught up with me and I confessed. I love my sisters but they can be annoying. I hate it when they join forces and gang up on me. Its not fair, why cant i have a twin. I remember when we were little we used to read each others diaries. It was a competition to see who can find the other's diary and read it first. We didnt believe in a little thing called privacy back then. All I can do is laugh about the foolish things we did back then. It seemed like good ideas. We have our ups and downs. Now I can look up to my sisters and rely on them for support.

About once a day my sister pisses me off so bad I could seriously kill her!
She has this way of saying stuff that just gets me so mad...maybe this is coz I have an anger problem.. anyways.. The thing she did today really mad me mad, upset, annoyed.. everything.... I have this guy that I've been talking to online he lives about 30 mins from me, he wants to take me out and i've been getting on really well with him, well anyways today when my dad came home my sis told him all about it while I was upstairs, this may seem like nothing but I got annoyed that she told him, she didn't stop to think that maybe I didn't want my dad to know yet or that I might have wanted to tell him myself, and really it was none of her business, also for the fact that she wont let me tell him anything and if I ever tell him something to do with her she gets really mad and says "Oh you couldn't wait to go running to dad and tell him stuff thats none of your business!!" Even the other day she wanted him to get her phone credit from round the shop and I was heading into the kitchen to see him and she said "Don't tell him" and I was like "what?" and she said "dont tell him I want phone credit, i'll tell him".. Like It's a big deal and like I really care.. and then while I was talking to him she thought I'd told him so she ran into the kicthen after me and quickly shouted "She left the kitchen hobs on all night!!!!!!!!!!!!" which was something I did by accident after cooking my dinner and I specifically told her not to tell him as he didn't need to know and he'd just moan. and afterwards she said "oh sorry I thought you'd told him I wanted credit!" laughing like it was funny! she doesn't realise how pathetic she is!!can u believe it! And she's 28!!!!!!! She's acts like a child!! And when I said to her about why did she tell our dad about my guy and stuff she was like "Oh shutup, whats the big deal" she still didn't even realise her mistake, and when I tried to explain that she wont even let me tell him pathetic things like she wants phone credit without losing it but it;s ok for her to tell ppl my business she was like " oh shutup, what r u on about, that's nothing to do with this" I'm so angry right now! I just want her to realise she was in the wrong! But she has no idea!I'm gonna stop now before I explode with anger! Siblings! Who'd have them!

Bit of a running theme thru all these posts i have noticed. I can sympathise with you all having lived with my bruv who is 3 yrs older than me (19 now) all my life. He used to annoy the
out of me just for the hell of it. He used to practise a martial art (akido i think) so he thought it wud be fun to do it to me, i didnt think so tho. Now tho he is in the army so he cant annoy me any more. Siblings for you.

Meryl, i understand you , and everyone else's pain. It will take twenty years, but someday you will be glad you have a sister or a brother. It actually takes that long, though, and im glad to say im close to my kin, but we have a lot of distance between us, and that helps a lot. You kinda come full circle with these things, in time as your lives change so do the people, and you can make amends. Were organizing a small get together for my folks fiftieth anniversary, and its going smooth so far. You will reach a point, once your long removed from being in the same house, that you actually consider them friends, and friends that wont hang up when your in trouble, which there are few of nowadays...

I do love my sister very much and for the most of times we are the closest of friends.
I came really close to losing her last year and that made me realise how much she means to me. I already appreciate her more than she will ever know, but for now as we are living together sometimes it can be tough and I know this is the only reason we argue so much.

I was going to say something to the same effect as goodman. Really guyz, I know how it is when you are younger, but siblings are indeed a blessing to have in your life if you are lucky enough to become close to them. A lot of people don't in today's society because they carry stupid things with them that happened between them when they were younger. You have to mature and decide what those things are and forgive and forget. The bigger things you must try and talk out. My brother and I did this and we are the closest of friends. There are few people in the world who mean anywhere near as much to me as my dear brother, who has been there for me through so much. Likewise, I have been there for him. They are that person that can really help you grow into a good all around person and learn to enjoy life from when your parents can no longer do that. Trust me, your life will be so much fuller if you have them close i nyour life when you are older. Like goodman said, they are that friend who won't hang up on your problems.

goodman and Red, I'm pretty sure all of us on here do love our siblings and really appreciate them for the things they've done and all. I didn't create this thread just to say how much I hate siblings and so on and so forth. This is merely sort of a "rant" thread about the worst/annoying things siblings could ever do. I love my sister very much; she's helped me through numerous problems/situations that I will never be able to repay her.
But... ...as I said earlier, her reckless and irresponsible behavior is just one of her terrible qualities that I cannot stand. That's all. As for the rest of you, I sympathize with everything that's happened (OMG....Mourdor, your incident would just destroy me!). I'm sorry to hear you guys had to go through that.

Oh the second i saw the topic i knew it was a rant, it was created because of what happened to you, Meryl, that was why i mentioned what i did. The frustration will pass someday, you wont ever forget the tricks, the hurts, sometimes the hate. My brother in particular has said a lot of nasty things because he can be that way. But in the long run were still able to be pretty close at times, and a lot of feelings have changed over the year. Someday you will probably say the same, thats all i was saying. Frustration threads are fairly easy to spot, i know ive done more than one or two in my time....

Please. Relax. Really. =__=;; Anyhow, even though I respect both mr. Goodman and Red's opinions, I can't say I fully agree. In fact, I don't think I agree at all. I have many, many siblings, all of which are older than me and are my half brothers. Now, were it up to me, there would be no necessity to make a divisive line between us simply because the genetics we share aren't "full blooded," but they make it a point to emphasize this. Oh well. Given that they are all a great plenty years older than me (the next youngest edging 26... me edging 18), there isn't much we have in common, and thus there just simply isn't much to talk about. However, that to me is a good thing, as I truly hate them medling in my affairs. I don't mean to sound cold or anything of that sort, but I simply think that if they didn't seem to care or be there when I needed their help, what makes them think I want their help now after so many years of deprivation? I don't. I can honestly say that out of all of them, the only one I talk to on a more regular basis is my youngest brother. I can speak with him more openly and freely than with the rest, but not so comfortably as I find him terribly immature. This, I think, is the most annoying thing for me: his lack of maturity. In his attempt to show no apparent sensibility, he thus opts for cracking inopportune jokes that are anything but funny. Unlike the rest of you guys, he hasn't really done a thing that stands out from amongst the rest: every single day he makes me blow my fuse. Be it by excessive talking of pure nonsense, his deliberately not funny jokes or his "I'm 25... OK?" attitude, he somehow manages to do things that... well, make me twitch in anger just about every day. If I had three wishes, the first one would be to go back in time and make me an only child. Oh yes. Free from annoyances and false hopes of being able to share things or rely on them "some day". Pooh. |

Well, admittedly, not everyone overcomes problems they have with their brothers or sisters. Time is not a healer of all things, i know a girl who isnt at all close to either her brother, or her parents, for that matter. And she isnt the only one, there are others. Must be miserable during holidays, which here in America are very much events that families cherish, often that is when i see my family. To be so seperated and away from your family that you dont talk to them at any time may not be sad in that persons mind, or view, but it is mine, sad indeed. There are brothers and sisters that could have just as well been born countries apart as far as how much they care for each other, which is a commentary on one or both of them. Weve worked really well in getting my folks anniversary celebration together, how sad to think bitterness/seperation wouldnt have allowed for that to come about.
