Head over to https://www.jkrowling.com/ (J.K's offical site), click on the hairband on her "desk". Find the bricks in the wall. From top to bottom, consider them numbered one to five.

For those who cannot wait, the title of the sixth book is going to be

. This comes amidst many rumours about what the title would be, most recently the title "The Pillar of Storgé". Personally, I think that actual title isn't that punchy, but its the content that matters most ^^

ive just finished reading all five books this summer and its true the books r better than the movies and i cant wait to get the sixth book i hope that its even better than the last one!

Whatever... I still refuse to hop onto this Harry Potter bandwagon. I might see the movie if I finish seeing all the other ones I want to see, but I am not going to waste time on the books when I have my Neil Gaiman and H.P. Lovecraft to read. BLAH! Stupid wizard kid and the ridiculous hullabaloo he has become.

Red about 4 years ago I would have agreed with you, but I can't any more. I was just as close minded as your being now toward HP. I didn't exactly read the first book because I wanted to though. My 8th grade teacher said he would give me 10+ points on an English test if I finish reading it. After reading the first one I was hooked! I got 30+ that year just from reading HP. If you would just read the first one you will open your eyes.
Now i can't call my self a hardcore fan, even though I've seen the third movie 4 times, and read through all of them, working on fifth.

I've read an incredible amount of Lovecraft and Poe but they don't compare to Harry Potter. The books are simply joyous to read and remind me everytime of reading the hobbit when i was eight.
You can't compare them to anything else really because for their genre they are a class above.
