I suppose you know the classics, but if not go check them out....
Misfits, Ramones, Cockney Rejects, Angelic Upstarts, Sex Pistols, The Exploited, Peter and the test tube babies, Discharge, The Damned, The Business etc.etc.
When I listen to punk I basically listen to those kind of bands all these newer so called punk bands are basically just alternative boy bands that are designed to drive little girls crazy and that's something I can't stand.

ALl Of them Rock, Misfits really kick ass... someone think when you say punk, " Good Charolettle, Simple Plan, and Avril.." But they don't know true punk music... SO yeeah

hmm.. what does cory like?? I like Atreyu, AFI, Coheed and Cambria, Finch, Thrice, thursday, From autumn to ashes, Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, bayside, park, Falloutboy, Glassjaw, motion city soundtrack, My chemical romance, Senses Fail, Rufio, and those are most of the punk bands i listen to right now.. a lot of the classics you guys mentioned.. NOFX hells yeah.. misfits rock... pretty much anything but avril and GC.. i really despise crappy music like that... heh

Every once in a while a bit of ska can't hurt no one, i like sublime, mighty mighty bosstones, bad manners, judge dread, madness, the specials, catch 22 etc.

Shit now I dun think u want me to do that cuz I have like a 100 fav bands that I listen to every single day. I dun really classify myself as a punk tho, more emo. cuz I ain't hardcore but I do hate those familiar posser bands.

My all time favorites are: BrandNew, Mest, The starting line, the rasmus, farewell to a friend, something corporate, cool by association, MXPX, Fall Out Boy, AFI, Iron of Coil, S.T.U.N. (that guys hair rocks! so Does Claudio's from Coheed and Cambria.) CKY, Motion City, Kill Hannah (cory got me to like them as well as Modest Mouse), DC, Revis, The Get Up Kids, Farewell to Twilight, Story of a Year, Goldfinger, The Rapture, Flogging Molly, Reel Big Fish, I used to love YellowCard.. but I hate Ocean Avenue... urgh. I dunno if u consider SES punkish but they are definately awesome.

I never really liked that whole emo/screamo type of music, I could dig the earlier metalcore bands that got a little bit of emo in their music like Earthmover, Mourning Again etc. But that full out emo, that followed never quit did it for me I've been to a few shows didn't like the crowd and attitude of the bands. But I understand what people like about the music cause it's very intense., just not my cup of tea.

A lot of the emo music I listen to is on the line of punk.. I think I listen to punk more than emo but I just feel as a person if I were to dare classify myself, based partly on music I connect with and how I am.. i think a lot of people who know me would agree that I am an Emo chick.. that's if they know me. I'm sure you have gone to a warp tour.. now that's my kind of place!

You mean the Vans warped tour? I was there the first time around in europe, but I think it's a bit different than the US today, cause the bands that played that day( I think it was six years ago) were the likes of Pennywise, 7 seconds (cancelled grrr

), Suicidal Tendencies ( cancelled grrrrr

), Ice-T, Bouncing Souls etc. So it was more a skate hardcore/punk Fest...

The Vans Warp Tour THis Year should be really Sweet, And I am planning on going this year.. Because Last There was 4 deaths in My Family SDo I couldn't go.. But alot of kick ass Emo and Indie Bands are going to be there...

Pennywise is okay..

Last year there was Yellowcard, AAR, S.T.U.N., glassjaw, Simple plan, the ataris, the used, Bowling for Soup, Farewell to twilight... something corporate, cool by association.. etc and a whole bunch of local bands.. I can't remember everyone.
