Definitly going to be worth the money for the ticket just for the cg in the movie, and the plot doesnt look half bad either.

This is one of those movies you go to see not because of the subplots with all the people trying to save eachother with big name actors playing their roles, but to enjoy watching some serious jaw-dropping special effects. I think this may signify the next big milestone in special effects in movies. Watching a barge go down the middle of flooded downtown New York and having it look like you are there and it's real as hell is an impressive feat. I think people forget with all these movies we see these days bombarding us with special effect, how truly huge and immense a production it can be to pull this movie magic off. So, with all that said, I look forward to seeing it. Like Piggle said, I also hope it raises awareness of global warming, even if the film itself has been touted as a bit of an exxageration of what could happen in one gigantic natural occurance.

I dunno about this movie. The special effects look amazing but I don't know about the plot. I took a chance on Van Hellsing because I thought it had some cool effect but boy did the movie suck. I dunno maybe I'll see it, maybe I won't. Only time will tell.

I just read a thread created by someone who saw a prescreening of the movie last night. Apparently its not going to overwhelm us with its excitement. I probably will hold off and go with a friend on a free pass, so let me know what you all think if you see it this weekend...

saw it. GOD MY DAD TOTALY RUINED MY DAY GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR i was supposed 2 go to this concert with local bands cuz im friends with most of them and i love moshpits and it was goan b awesome as hell but noooo as soon as i got on the car after school my dad was liek "ok as soon as we get home were gona eat chineese food and then were going 2 watch day after 2morrow" adn i was like "i cant i have plans im going 2 band were the local bands r playing" and he wasl ike "u proly do that everyday" and i was like "NO CONCERTS ARENT EVERYDAY GRRR" and then he was like "well u kno wat u just cant go" so he ruined my plans cuz i was supposed 2 go to the concert then chil at my friends house have a halo lan party afterwards and then proly get drunk or eat pizza
thank you day after 2morrow u ruined the only good thing that was gona happen on my weekend

I seen it... the first part was rock... good special effects and shit... but.... BUT!! the second half was complete and utter shit IMO... too much mushy shit and unbelievability for me... complete horror.. BOO to that shit... but anyways.. if you can get in free do it.. otherwise.. wait for the dvd and steal it.. do not pay
