I'm thinking about getting an account for each messenger ( it'll take ages before I sign up and create the accounts
), but then it'd be annoying to have all the messengers installed. And it'd be even more annoying to open all of them at the same time. I've heard of this program called Trillian which is a sort of messengers manager. You install it, you open it and you have all the messengers in the same toolbar, without opening each single messenger.Have you tried it? Is it good? Or does it only cause a mess and it'd be better to use the actual messengers? |

I've used it. It's a really nice program. It makes it a lot easier to see who is on. There are about 100 skins to choose from so the look is customizable. It's perfect if you have contacts on two or more messanger services. Plus it doesn't install any spyware or pop up ads (unless they changed that).
I don't have it any more because I don't have a yahoo or icq account any more. Most of the people I would talk to on AOL have an MSN account so I just use MSN messanger. But there are really no problems with the program.

yeah... basically what ^^^ said
its a really efficient program if you use many different messengers... and less annoying too. It works really well, some of the older versions had a lot of bugs in it... but they got most of those worked out and it hastle free now! i dont use it anymore either though... since pracitally everyone that i know has MSN these days |

I dont use messengers anymore but when I did I used Trillian and I was very pleased with it. The interface for changing your account settings was a minor (I mean VERY MINOR) challenge but beyond that it is an excellent program. Id deffinately reccomend it

I think Trillian is pretty good... I stopped using it when it no longer allowed me to communicate with MSN users though. All my friends use MSN... and MSN is just crap. Started with ICQ and still prefer it, but i'm never, ever on.

It's definitely worth trying it, Hylas, is pretty practical. That's what I used when I had a PC.

Ok, thanks everyone! I think I'll start with MSN only for now. I used to have it, but it got removed. Better starting with something simple. After that I'll probably sign up with other messengers, depending on the people I know who are using them. Only after that I'll think about installing Trillian
