Think about it...it could be an online game and with the X-box comuunicator or the PS2 one comin out (that will have compatibility with future online PS2 games) it could be this whole nationwide virtual American Idol contest! You could even design your own onstage look and persona via a very sophisticated create-your-own character feature! Wait! Why stop there?? Design your own onstage choreography and dance moves. Do research based on online surveys and polls to determine your target audience! Do you want countless preteeniebopping girls fainting at the mere thought of meeting you you sick sick little bastard? Or do you want Tipper Gore along with countless soccer moms to welcome your cd to their collections?

I think the people responsible for this game should really hang there heads in shame. This game probably will be a good seller just because it has the stupid American Idol name. It reminds me of an article I just read in a videogame mag about the editor saying how so many games are just selling on the name alone(ex. DBZ, Star Wars, etc...). The producers of these games should actually spend some time on the game not just push out a crappy product relying soley on the name alone. Since this game hasn't come out yet, I really can't say anything, and even if it is a good game you won't find me playing it, I just hope this isn't some persons idea of how to make some quick cash off of a videogame.

That show is all about making money so you had to figure theyd try and cash in on it any way possible. That doesnt surprise me, look at the other kinds of games that have come out like that, the britney spears game, the mtv games that where music oriented and just bombed, im not surprised that they are doin that but disappointed yes.
