1st person shooter: Time Splitters 2
3rd person shooter: Splinter Cell
racing: Need 4 Speed Hot Pursuit
sports: MLB Slugfest
RPG: Xenosaga
fighting: Mortal Kombat DA

I forgot to add fighting, so feel free to add that category to your lists.

BTW, I think the PS2 version of Splinter Cell is great, so I don't understand why some people say that the XBOX version is so much better.

How is that possible? Explain that to me?... Even I heard that Ps2 version is much better at some areas. And no its never "ALL" about the visuals. GBA games aren't at all pretty as Xbox, but many games are much better then Xbox ones.

See, someone else said that at another forum too. I understand that XBOX has better graphics. But I'm not sure I understand how the gameplay is less challenging. Wouldn't they be exactly the same?

No the xbox version is more difficult. When setting off the alarm in the xbox version it usually means game over. While in the ps2 version you have 3 chances or so to set off the alarm. Also in the ps2 version in the CIA level they give you badge to start out in the building while in the xbox version you have to sneak in, which is quite difficult I might add.Plus visually the ps2 game doesn't look as good as the xbox version.Even though it is one of the best looking games on the ps2.It lacks the high textures, lighting, and other certain effects of the xbox version. Both version are good, but the xbox is the better looking more challenging one.I might add that each version gets an exclusive level.

That's odd. I wonder why they would make the PS2 version less challenging... it doesn't make any sense. The only thing I can think of is some kind of memory or processing limitations, but even that doesn't explain things like the alarm buffer & the badge.
