Mobile Suit Gundam: The Movie Trilogy box set

Anybody seen these movies? Are they a suitable substitute for the series? I'm thinking about getting the box set + Char's Counterattack (great movie).

Speaking of CC, did anybody see the part where:

That girl was such a slut. She betrayed all of her friends just for Char, and then she even fought against them in battles.

yep great movie,i love the nu gundam

. but it was really hard to follow the movie though, stupid CN, they should've shown zeta and zz gundam first before this.

btw, ill get the CCA too, when it comes out on DVD.

Speaking of CC, did anybody see the part where: Spoiler: show Amuro saw Char while they were riding around in the car, they stopped and started to fight, then Amuro stood up, acting all bad-ass, and was like "not before I get rid of YOU, Char!!!!" and that stupid little ho' knocked the gun out of his hand!!! I was pissed, but it was still a really cool part.
