Ice Cream Factory Save Glitch

After a weeks worth of play and a whole lot of damn hours, I find myself angry after saving my game at the cherry poppers ice cream factory after I bought it, turning off the game and then when restarting it, the game loads up my save, but the screen turns black, and the game freezes. If anyone has a way to fix this, please tell me.

I learned this lesson when a corrupted floppy disk destroyed two hours work on a project for school.

You should always make a backup save........just in case.
