Shoujo and shonen

Do you guys read shoujo manga and watch shoujo anime? And girls, do you read shonen manga or watch shonen anime?

Do you think the separation of shonen from shoujo is always valuable, considering many shonen series are really appreaciated also by girls and many shoujo are famous also among boys?

I generally watch and read both types because I:

1) Love shounen stuff, since the action is pretty good.

2) Love shoujo because the romance is cute at times.

3) Love a blend of both because the anime just seems better that way.

The separation between the two types isn't really valuable...it's just there for people who like to know what type they're reading/watching. But, it really doesn't matter because, like you said, there are many guys who watch shoujo and vice-versa and there's nothing wrong with that.

I read shojo manga mostly, but I like some shonen as well. If I like a series, I don't mind if it's for girls or for boys.

Shoujo manga means "girl's manga" and shounen manga means "boy's manga".
