Phew... Ok... i've got 18 Designs for the Front cover of FFXI (my coursework, not the actually in the shops thingy :p ) and I really, really hope you can help me with this... but I need to know which ones are the best Please Vote for your favorite in the poll (though I got a minimum of 10 to work with :/ ) and then tell me what you voted for, and any others you'd give as a second and third vote (ie. my coursework will look better if it isn't the classic style, even if that is actually the best )

Let me warn you now ^_^: the images (9 of them, 2 designs per JPG, all 800x566pi) are fairly big, and if your on 28k like me, they're going to take a while. But Please Please Please do this for me ^_^, I need to know which is best so I can finally move onto either the Manual, Back cover, Spine or Stand

I have to say the classic designs. There is a simple understated elegance about the original Japanese FF covers, and I'm so glad that the EU PAL releases get the same covers.

Plus, I think it would go against the FF branding if any other design type was chosen. But that's just my opinion...

Yes, the classic style is the best. It's more FF style to me (maybe because I've always preferred the classic Japanese/European packages with the logo). The others are nice, but I see them more as a cover of a magazine ;;

I agree with them: the classic ones are the most suitable for the game package.

The classic ones are good, but I also like the Big Crystal ones! Very nice. But isn't the crystal thing from FF9?

nope... the crystals are my own ^_^ - the FF9 one is angular and gold...

My faves are probably:
1. 18 (2 floating Humes): This one isn't too crowded, but still has a fair bit of CG in it...
2. 13 (Watery amano logo): I like this, because:
A. It looks like I did work on it
B. It does keep to the classic style a little
C. It just looks nice ^_^
3. 11 (Blue FFXI Weapons): I choose this, because it took too much damn time ^_^ - The colours weren't too great for the originals, and this is probably the best of the weapons covers...

Sorry for sounding pushy or somthing when I say this but... you're not helping! - the trouble is, that when I get marked for design, i'll get a big fat zero if I put foward the "Classic" design, because its essentially a rip off, and has very little on it to alter etc. Plus it took about 95% less time to do anyway ^_^

Edit: I've worked a way around this: The Cover can be double sided ^_^ : feel free to vote for the Classic cover, but it's already in... so please give a second as well...

I like 11 & 12 (especially 12) above all. Did you make the weapons too? In this case it's even better! If not, it's good too I'd go with those two covers.

Obvously I prefer the classic design, but to help with your coursework I'll vote for designs 3 and 4. As have some nicely modified peices and the background for want of a better word is "spinkee", and they keep within the sort of classic-esque feel.

Ah, ok... I say 12 is my fave one besides the classic ones. The edited colors of the weapons are good and fit very well the image.

7 & 8 are the ones I like. All of them are good, but I prefer 7 and 8.
