The most important aspect of any console will always be its software.

I can't agree with that Infernal Mass becasue there are three important factors:

1 - The console itself. (People wont just go and buy a PS1 because it has only 1 game that they actually like AT ALL.

2 - The amount of money invested into the consoles presentation, design, advertisments etc.

3 - Finally yes software does come into it. But would u go and buy a PS1 if the PS2 wasnt out cos it had GTAIII on it. I know its not but still if it was and there was a much better PC version I think many people would buy the PC version.

Well i dont know about the ps1... but i know that i bought an xbox for only one game *Halo*... and not only me but i have testimonials from my friends andy and mike as well who have done the same.... Granted i have found many other titles that are good for the xbox... Steel Battalion being one of them... and i enjoy all the features of my xbox... but to be completely honest... The only reason i bought an xbox... *and i have two of them now... just for system link* was for the game Halo

Yes, but new GTA games come to PS2 first, and then go to X-BOX, if at all.

It might change for the next installement of GTA. Its only been annouced for PS2 but I think that might change due to the sales of the GTA Double Pack for Xbox.

I doubt it. Granted the GTA Double Pack did very well on X-BOX, but the only reason is that the X-BOX owners haven't had a chance to play GTA before this. I think new GTA releases will remain on PS2.

Sony will pay them big to to keep GTA, but then again if Rockstars release it on Xbox aswell more money, then M$ could offer a deal, either way rockstars are gonna get big bucks, I would like it to stay on PS2 though and xbox get it later on.

But if they move over as well to Microsoft then it will be ruining the whole exclusitivity (at first) with Sony. Damn Microsoft...

Damn microsoft eh? I do agree they are way too powerful and yes they have their hands in everything... But The xbox is such a great system... I dont know how you can hate it really... Money is king in this world and its not like Bill Gates just had it handed to him ya know... he worked *And stole from steve* and got his way to the top so now he can do as he pleases... I do believe there should be a lil more balance.. but please give credit where credit is due... The xbox is a great system and deserves the praise it gets....

And on the GTA issue i have all 3 *among other* systems so i dont really care which system it comes out for... I believe it should stay on ps2 first just because thats how it has been and i believe in keeping things as far as contract shit like that the same... But i dont see a problem with Box owners waiting... allthough years is a lil much I play games for games and i love em... no matter what system they are on
