The New Bruce Wayne
https://www.bbc.co.uk/films/2002/08/0...bale_large.jpg
Thats right, its just been confirmed that Australian Actor Christian Bale will play the role of Bruce Wayne in the up coming Batman fliq. I think hes a good fit physically. Better than Clooney or Kilmer (Yuck). What do you guys think, good pick ? (Granted Batman is played out on the silver screen, but hey. You never know, it could end up being the best yet. And atleast we are assured of many more crappy Batman games as a result of the latest movie. Never can have too many of those )

I hope they can make a batman movie on par with Spiderman and X-Men.

So Batman did find the Fountain of Youth! Makes no sense to me. I thought Keaton was fine. I thought Kilmer was fine. I thought Clooney was fine. You know why those guys are fine? BECAUSE I CAN BELIEVE THEY ARE MULTI MILLIONAIRES WITH NO SPECIAL POWERS! I think it's a terrible fit. I just can't see how he is going to do any better then any of the other guys previously mentioned. Those were all great fits. Meanwhile Bale is not. Just look at everyone who has played Batman. Look at the comics and all the shows. How many look anything like Christian Bale? Brendan Fraser could do a better job.

I would like to see Michael Madsen as a slightly overweight batman
I always enjoyed the batman-flicks I like the cheesyness(???) and the whole "over the top" thing. Especially the early ones Tim Burton is God.

I heard that this 'Batman 5' was supposed to be called: Batman: Intimidation
Also, it this one, the villain is supposed to be Ras Al Ghul. Apparently, Russel Crowe has been approached to do a 'villain in a Batman flick', but I don't know if those two stories are actually related. |

Im not saying he WILL be better. Hell, this movie will probably suck as bas as the Kilmer one. But hey, as long as Robin wont be in it, its got a chance. When they introduced him, the movies got much much worse it seemed. Quote:

I think that Christian Bale is a good fit for batman. He's got the dark side ability and can play a very believable millionaire (of course I'm going to be constantly waiting for him to ask the villian if he likes Huey Lewis In the News). He's in the right kind of shape and portray the right kind of character, good choice. Now all that needs to be done is recruiting TIM BURTON instead of that neon-obsessed freak from the films past "Returns".
Ra's Al Ghul.. okay villian. I also heard that there might be an appearance by The Scarecrow. ...Batman: Intimidation? Somebody. Please. Slap the shit out of the hollywood punk that came up with that title.

Did they choose Bale because he starred as Patrick Bateman in American Psycho? Bateman, Batman, maybe they don't see the difference....
I agree with those who already said it: not another Batman! There are too many of them, and the last ones are lame. Last edited by Hylas; Sep 21st, 2003 at 11:17 AM.. |
