This is good news. I think that Mario Kart was one of the best games for the SNES and the one for the N64 was good too.

Not to bring anyone down but I do not like the way design of the new carts. They look like toys out of a happy meal. I agree with preventer both of the other mario kart games were the best. Who could forget the joys of jumping your friends red shell when he was sooooo sure he had your a haha. I can't wait for this game to come out.
Off topic but has anyone heard any info on mario tennis for gamecube. That is another title I've been eagerly anticipating

Mna that look so totally cool. I used to love this for SNES. Remember racing Bowser. I used to have a way to knock him out. You just samck him and he sometimes goes whizzing off to the side. I like Mario Kart for GBA but this game will rock when it comes out for GC....

I truly love the mariokart games , but I think since the snes original there haven't been any dramatic improvements only the graphix are better.
Frankly I still find the snes version the most fun to play.... And I don't think it's gonna be changed by this new one...

Nice news VIC, although I like the idea being solo on a kart better. Not two people, but it will make it more fun for two player, co-op.

The battle modes should def be interesting with 2 characters per kart. Does each cart come with 2 drivers or do you get to pick the ones you want?

i think mario kart64 is one of the best multi-player games out there.the snes version was brilliant in single player mode and awesome in 2 player.and i honestly reckon that this version will b the best of the bunch

Did you guys hear about this latest news that Nintendo Of Europe is trying their best to have 16 player via system link at the release date.
Right now...... 8 player through System Link is 100% sure, but I think if they can pull a 16 player system link, that would be just the BEST THING EVER!!!!!!!!! WOW!.!

I have to admit: The idea of having the ability to choose your own team seems to be half the fun of it, and if you have to have a specific team, then I don't think it'd be the same. And Berserker is quite right, or at least, I fully agree: The Mario Kart for the SNes was definitely the best. But then again, I think that we can all agree that regardless of graphics and whatnot, some games of today just can't beat the classics of yesterday . And what Makg said is awesome! Imagine that: You can rock a house with a tourny of Mario Kart! 16 player mode would be excellent. But alas, 8 is good, as well. I want this. Ph33r me and my turtle-shell-jumping-skills! |
