I bought SH2, by far its been grear, but the game's graphics dont surprise me at all, it looks like an n64 game(kinda anoying), does the game ever look clear, or does it always look fogy???

Yea, it's very creepy. (Dont play in the dark...)

Anyway, yes, the game is always foggy, thats what allows it to maintain it's creepiness.

Wha...?! Ar you sure you have your glasses on? This game definitely doesn't look like a N64 game... Yes, it's foggy, also because the atmosphere requires it, and btw, the foggy weather is only on the outside

BTW, it's really creepy most of the time, (it gets more and more gloomy as the story goes on) so it's better for you to not play late at night with all your lights off

I agree with Fortune.........Silent Hill 2 graphics are one of the best I have ever seen in a video game. They are soo beautiful.......... I mean, it looks like hand drawn so well, mudged into real time. I love the creepiness of the game. Gives me suddent shocks. I love this game.........

The most creepy thing about this game: The sudden weird music that starts when you go somewhere or enter a room. Damn!!

Silent Hill 2 was the first game I got with my Playstation 2 and it's still one of the two-three that really surprised me for the graphics. Ninja look at the character models closely... you'll not find other games with that realism and those animations! Look at Maria!

sorry about saying it has n64 graphics, but I just got 2 the freaking apartment, Holy shit this game is creepy, I am not playing this game tomorrow when I'm alone at home. This is by Fact the scariest game ever, BTW the graphics are sweet, and one of the most beautiful games ever, the sorrounding fit just right and yes MAKG, the music when u enter a room is creepy as hell.

Hopefully I don't crap my pants while playing this game

Back in 1999, when I was playing Silent Hill.....I actually STOPPED playing the game after midnight and started playing it in the afternoon.

With this one........I just wanna play it in the night. Its soo fun. And see Ninja, told ya, that music........creeps me out too!!! that sound, hitting of the metal over something.

I love getting scared, and thats why I love this game, it does its job so well.

Once you have completed the game, there are a set of extra options that allow you to turn off the 'screen noise' effect. The quality of graphics is astounding, but I prefer the 'screen noise' as it adds to the atmosphere superbly.

As for the fog, as has been said, that's only outdoors.

I remember playing the first Silent Hill from midnight to 5 am I went to sleep in some sort of weird state of mind, I began to dream about the game, weird stuff.

I bought SH2 months ago, but did not play it much... got into other games, "leaving the best for last" I have to beat RE code Veronica first, to get into this one. (but so I have to finish Grandia 2 and Metroid Prime first :B )

uh,can any1 help me, I just wanna know if the game is worth playing in easy because im new to the whole silent hill thing, although im not new 2 resident evil. I just got 3 days ago, and im already in the dark hospital place.

no the game is not worth playing in easy mode..try a more difficult setting. Also turn the radio off..

One of the best things about SH2 is that you can set different difficulty levela for Action and Puzzles. So if you prefer a more action based, survival game you can set the Action to high and Puzzles to low.

On the other hand, if you prefer to exercise your brain cells without worrying about Ammo and health you could to it to low Action and high Puzzles.

Or, if you are a complete sadist you could go for the ultimate SH2 challenge and go for Hard/Hard...

Yeah, this game does look creepy. I've played Resident Evil: Code Veronica, but i've never played a Silent Hill game. Which series is scarier?
