Man! This game is too complicated! Some levels are nearly impossible to be completed and they're also frustrating because you have to re-start them so many times!
![]() I got this game because someone told me it was similar to Medievil, but Maximo is much more difficult than Medievil IMO! Am I the only one to think this game is really hard to play? |

I've heard of this game and the difficulty of it. If i'm not mistaken there isn't a quick-save function, which makes the game very frustrating as you mentioned .
Also from what i've heard alot of veteran gamers like this cause it reminds them of the older more challenging games, like the original ghost and goblins(NES). I myself think the quick save function is more of a convenience rather than a way of cheating thru a game. Q: Are there checkpoints in the Levels ? Or do you have to go thru an entire level on one life without starting from a checkpoint? |

There are checkpoints and this is the only thing that is really helpful thougout the game. To save the game you have to complete levels and in fact you can't save while playing a level. Also, to save once you've completed the level, you need 100 coins and this means: no coins=no save game

that does sound tough. It must feel truly rewarding when completeing a whole level.

I rented it once (thank god) and I spent an hour trying to get the checkpoint to work without any success, and then the controls were odd also. But I'll probably give it another go
