It's here!!
Yeah, it's finally here! The WC 2002 has finally arrived. Here, it starts off tomorrow with France vs. Senegal! I think that's going to be a very interesting game! It's too bad it's coming out at 4:30 am. Man, I'm gonna have to get up early
So, who are you guys going for? I'd say Mexico ( they made a HUGE comeback!) and Italy! Go Cuauhtemoc ! Go Maldini! Yay! But hey, does anyone else even like soccer here? |

French women are fine, so long as they come with a razor and an attitude adjustment.

KraftSLU sounds like the French didnt warm to your marvellous personality for some reason. Both my fave teams (Australia then Scotland) just just just missed out on getting there saddly, so I am still a little pissed off with football and am undecided on who to support. (Besides Argentina, Nigeria and Sweden ) As for the French I think its funny that even the English can talk about how little they wash. |

I'm German, even if I live in the US, so I'm going to say Germany
BTW, I don't think French people are so bad as Kraft described them. It's just that maybe you're considering your experience. I'm fine with French people. I only know cool people from France |

Umm... theres a world-cup on?
Ok, seriously I don't suppose I'll watch much at all, if any at all... But if England get past the Quarter-Finals I may... No Offence, but thats never gonna happen. We can only win the WC if we host the damned thing ^_^ It's also the queen's jubilee. I'm going to Paris for a few days to last this out (Won't mention their defeat to Senegal ^_^ lol!) Yay my Patriotism!

yeah you guys! Mexico's good! The French teams aren't bad, they aren't bad at all. Most of the top players are in fact from European countries.
============================ Hmm.... these are the results for today's opening game: Today, as sad as it is to say... France was defeated 1-0 by Senegal As some critics say, France was overconfident and saw this game as a "sure victory". However, their confidence tide changed when Papa Bouba Diop scored the only goal in the game. Many people were shocked at the surprising results since Senegal is in its first WC ever. However, the Senegalist defence was extremely great. They put up a solid defence, thus not allowing the French to score. Big props go to Senegal's goalie : Sylva, for the amazing performance, especially towards the end when he made 2 grand saves France had 2 shots hit right on the woodwork.... how sad. Henry was one of the best French players in the field. Yet, it is truly visible that France deeply felt the absence of Zidane in their team. Hope he gets better soon. |

anytime a team makes it to the world cup and doesn't have one of their key players that just sucks.

KraftSlu, you shouldn't post offensive posts about French people, because if you had bad experience it doesn't mean all French people are the way you're describing them
If there are French members here, they could be really offended by your words, you know. About the WC, I think German team has good qualities to win the tournament.

Much as though I'd love to see England win, I don't think they have a chance at all - unless lof course, Sven drops Heskey and plays Fowler with Owen!!
But seriously, I would think the South Americans, or even an African team, are best equipped to win this World Cup. It basically comes down to the climate - I think the European teams are going to struggle with the Korean/Japanese climate how it is. Anyway, it would be nice to see a 'new' team win it this time - it would shake things up somewhat! Plus, I have Cameroon in the sweep at work... so... GO CAMEROON!!! - S

ehohohoho I've lived in france for three years now and I agree with every part of what you said, and lollll@french women with razors and no you're right...j/k vive la france (sarcasme) and i'm for Argentina all the way, i'd go for Iran, but they didn't make it because of *political reasons* the friggin best team in Asia and they're not in the World Cup. grrr.

I guess I should say I hope Italy will win the cup, but as the_artist said in reply posted above *points at the_artist's reply*, my patriotism kinda sucks
