Good luck for it.
You'll have to study a lot and be good with graphics and programming and stuff like this. So it won't be easy to be accepted there. So be patient and learn anything useful you'll need when you're older

Good Luck then Kamari-ice, like Fortune said it will be hard work and you'll need to study alot of things for it
![]() I would like to work at Square as well, but I also wouldn't mind starting up my own game company maybe where a group of us could try and make our own games, but who knows what will happen in the future

There's always need for imrovement, so I think you shouldn't say you're very good at all the things you mentioned, because to work for Squaresoft you'll need to learn a lot more!
If it was so simple to become a game developer, all the people with some average skills would become game developers, which is not possible, you know. Work hard and don't waste your time. And good luck! |

I don't mean you have to learn anything, of course, but you must know nearly everything regarding programming, using softwares like Maya or 3d studio max, being able to do several other things perfectly, depending on what you want to do there.Sorry kamari, but I don't think that a young boy as you are now has the abilities to do all these things yet.
Persons who work for very big companies are professional. To become like them there are persons who spend the greatest part of their lives working hard 15+ hours each day to improve and study, and even when they get the job they still spend much time learning more, so I don't think you can say you'll be able to get the necessary skills without studying hard and learning more during the next years. |

I must know Maya, or 3rd studio max.Okay, I can get those when I am older, then learn them.I am a fast learner, at everything new and old.Programming is so easy, but not Maya and 3rd Studio Max, cause I never heard of them.

3D Studio Max I know is a 3D programme, I've heard its probably one of the best around.
Its a programme , which I would probably like to get hold of and learn to use, but right now I haven't the money to get it or really any ideas where I should look for it

Both Maya and 3D Studio Max are very expensive programs, especially used by professionals to work with 3D graphics, and they're very difficult to use.

I have 3d studio max and it is not what you think it is, nor will you be able to comprehend it within a day, week or a month.
Those kinds of programs are just like a pillar to your knowledge, and you must built the rest of the way. But I wish you luck and the best things in life, however to be able to be hired easily you will need to be able to "sell yourself" in such market good enough. Besides I doubt you have to have a certain knowledge of anything, you just have to think up of something people haven't already and you're good =P

To make a game is a very complex process. I agree with the ones who suggested you to practise a lot. It might be very useful.
Who knows what happens during the next years, maybe games will change a lot and you'll need to learn new techniques and programming languages, but if you have a good base preparation it won't be difficult to get used to novelties.
