After you beat X-2 there's a New Game Surplus... other than having all the suplies you ened the last game in... what's different about it? Can someone explain this to me in detail?

As I understand it, you can only 100% complete the game after you've played through it twice, giving you a secret ending or something. Not to sure - I don't even own FFX-2, just something I heard.

Pretty much, New Game + is there so you can attain 100%. I own it and beat it, but I haven't taken the time to get 100%. Might be a new ending, not quite sure. Kinda lost heart in the game, it was too easy.

yeah, i didn't like the ending either.. I think that they should of found a way to say goodbye to tidus for yuna again or some kind of reunion.. that's what I was hoping for...ah well

It's my understanding that this is the reward for completing it 100%

6) The endings

The bad ending:

This ending is the easiest one to get. You basically just
need to let Shuyin talk 7 times in the battle against the head, and Vegnagun
will fire Spira with that huge canon coming out of its mouth.

The common ending:

You get this ending as you finish the game correctly by
defeating the Vegnagun's head, and Shuyin right after. In it, you'll see the
Luca Blitzball Stadium sold out, as a massive ammount of Spiranians(can we
say that?)are filling the place. Nooj, Baralai and the Gipp are at the
microphone, and they'll resume what happened in the story; the two clans,
Vegnagun, and so on. They'll end the speech on the future of Spira, which is
of riding the planet all together. After that, the Celsius will be leaving
the stadium, with the YRP on the Deck. Yuna will say her last words; that was
my story!

The good ending:

To get the good ending, you need to talk to Maechen every
times he appears in the game. You also need to have pressed the X button four
times at the end of Chapter 3 when Yuna was walking in the Farplane Glen(in
order to hear a familiar whistle 4 times). Now the last pre-req is simple,
once Shuyin is defeated and that you view the "Chapter 5 complete!" screen,
the girls will walking in the Farplane Glen. Press X in here to hear a
whistle. The fayth wil appear and ask you a question. Answer yes to see the
good ending, which will be viewed after the credits(that are after the common
ending). This ending is, in my opinion, totally awesome. You see pyreflies in
the middle of nowhere, and then, "he" will awaken in the beach of Besaid.
Yes, I am talking about Tidus. He walks out of the water and then, the
Celsius will arrive from behind. Seeing him, Yuna will jump from the airship
and will run in the arms of her love. Tidus is finally back! The Besaid
villagers, including the Besaid Aurochs, Lulu, Vidina, and Wakka(of course)
will have gathered on the beach, applauding the return of Tidus.

The perfect ending: You need to get 100% completion and finish the game in
order to see this ending.

You also need to view the Good Ending, meaning that
you gotta complete the pre-reqs to view this one. The perfect ending isn't a
FMV, it's just a 2 minutes sequence. Tidus and Yuna will be at the Zanarkand
Ruins, with the sunset of FFX's Introduction. The young couple will be
talking about how did Tidus came back. This one has a theory on it, he thinks
that maybe the fayth just made him with his memories. Well, he'll also say
that maybe, he's just a dream again. But they won't care about it, as long as
they can stay together.

Edit: Just read through that, and it epitomises why the last generation of FF games hold no excitement for me. Jumping through hoops for miniscule rewards - i've more exciting things to do with my time, like staring at the ceiling and occasionally wiping drool from the corner of my mouth.

I agree... they should have had Tidus and Yuna reunited around the middle of the game and made him a playable character. That would have made the game alot more enjoyable for me, rather then beating it 3 times to get an alternate ending.
