I am currently watching this series. It's cute and funny, and I'm starting to like it a lot.
For those who have watched it, what's your fave character and why? My fave is Chiyo-chan. Her pigtails are so amazing and she's so kawaii! I like her dog too (can't remember the name now). They make a great couple

Sakaki. Outwardly cold, people think she is a tough, harsh character. In reality, she's a total fluff-ball obsessed with cute things, depressed that she is anything but cute. I can sympathise with a character like that

Osaka. I like how she can daydream or fantasize about anything, her way of getting distracted so easily. It's also a character I can relate to a lot, for her physical ineptitude, for her weird curiosity, for falling asleep at school so often (*sigh*), for her inner sense of the surreal, for the way she plays with words etc.
Sasaki is a close second one. Then comes her creation: "Chiyo's father". In general there's no character I dislike in this series. They remind me a lot of the Peanuts. Maybe the one I like less is Yomi, for her being so "average" compared to the others. |

She's the relatively bookish, levelheaded one in a group of crazy weirdos. She doesn't really stand a chance! ![]() I can imagine more people dislike Kimura of course... what he stands for at least, because the show is all the funnier for having a token "misunderstood" pervert. I quite like all the teachers in the series actually. Yukari and Miyamo particuarly, because they're really no different from their students. Real younger teachers tend to be a bit like that, though not quite so fun

At the beginning I didn't like Kagura much. The couple Sakaki-Kagura made me dislike Kagura even more. The fact she acted a bit like Tomo kinda made her seem a Tomo's clone with less personality. But this was only during her first appearances. Later she becomes a really enjoyable character, IMO.
PS: kupo, have you read the manga as well? I could only read a few strips on the Internet. Do you know how many volumes is it?

I haven't watched the whole series, but I think my fave is Yukari. Chiyo is too much of a "wonder little genius". Sure she is cute, but whenever she does something or talks, she becomes annoying.
