Restrictions
Well, Its More Like A Question Thread. I Want To Know If There Are Restrictions To Everything In The Entertainment Industry. And I Mean Everything. What I Am Trying To Say, That There Are Times When I Have Heard That "Some Action" Scenes Were Not Allowed Cause The Cinema Board Didn't Allow (Not Because, They Were ExtremeGory, But They Just Didn't Allow) What I Am Trying To Ask Is.........Do These B Or C, Or Even A Grade Movie Makers Get Some Restrictions When Making A Movie, Like (No More Then 4 Action Sequences, Or Not More Then 3 Nude Scenes)........
And Same Goes For.......VideoGames, The Board Doesn't Allow The Developers To Do Anything They Want. There Isn't Full Freedom. Is That True, I Just Wanna Make Sure!.! And If They Dont, Do U Think That Is Something Right Or Wrong. Just A Lousy Example, In MGS2 I Thought That The ACTION Was Very Very Limited, And I Had This Feeling In My Mind That May Be Kojima Was Restricted To Do Or ADD Things He Actually Wanted To. I May Be Wrong!.! Probably Harry Fortune And Rei Would Be Knowing More About It!.! But I Am Sure Members Would Know More Too!.! Human Mind Is Very CREATIVE, And With The Help Of Technology We Have Now, We Can Do Anything We Want.......Soo Many Things Are Possible But Are Not Actually Allowed. If Thats True, Is It A Right Thing To Do!/?

There are restrictions, many of them in both businesses.Like when you see a movie and then when you buy it on dvd they release it with all the stuff you couldnt see in the theater. There are other examples to.Video games you notice there isnt any strong and explicit language, why is that.Even the mature rated games dont have any.

Yeah I Agree!.!
Yeah I Agree With That, But Thats Something Different....I Mean....The Extra Scenes U See On DVD Are Edited Out Cause.......2 Reasons, 1.) Some Movies Has To Be Short, The Cinema Board Give Them Time Restrictions, Telling Them Not To Be Longer Then A Limited Time. 2.) To Make Extra Money On DVD's, So People Would Buy Movies NO DVD To See The Extra Scenes. I Think.
As For The Harsh Language, I Think........Thats Because, The Censor KNOWS That Even Mature Rated Games Will be Played By The Younger Audience (They Know It) So They Dont Allow At Any Cost!.! Cause After All, Its A "GAME". But Those Two Are Good Points. But What About.......Some Other Shots.......Like, A MASSIVE Amazing Sequence Being Taken Out From The Movie With NO GIVEN Reason. I Do Have A Feeling That It Has Happened. The Unlimited Possibilities Are Being Made Limited!.!

And what about scenes from older movies being edited after some years, like happened in ET or Star Wars?

I also wonder why there have been no actual sex scenes, or love scenes extending beyond usually a kiss in videogames.
The exclusion of harsher profanity has also caught my ear. In a game like Grand Theft Auto 3 it would have made sense for that kind of language, among mafia members, or other hardened criminals. |
