Critics do you listen?

I was curious does critics reviews on movies and games deter your from seeing some films and or playing some games? I have noticed that almost every movie that a critic says is crap i end up liking so i don't even bother looking or listening to them anymore, i let myself determine if its good or bad. Do critics make you miss out on games and movies?

i let commercials tell me and if there's an actor i lik ein it then oh yeah! Anything with Jack black in it is gold and anything with Ben stiller is gold

Well, for a movie i sometimes go see without looking at what someone says because i have already decided i wanted to go. As far as games, though, its rare i dont check into a review or two before considering purchase, there are too many games i payed full price for only to be sorry i didnt just rent it.............

I never listen... I hate critics! I'm sick of watching the small time critics on tv talk about actors they know nothing about...I hate it when there's a big film with a great up n coming actor they don't bother to mention coz they're not a big name yet!
There's loads of films n games n plays I love that critics say are crap.
I watched a film on skymovies the other day that had been given 1 star but it was a really great film with 2 great actors in it!
Critics are overrated!

Sometimes I listen, sometimes I don't. It depends. Sometimes movie critics really have a good point about a film that really sucks and other times, they have no idea what they're talking about when a film is really good. But I tend to find game critics pretty accurate.
