Solid's pre-galactic empire tour of the Star Wars Universe!
I've made one other kind of this thread, all based on the idea Spank had with his tour of the Star Wars Galexy. But I would like to do in this thread what spank can't do in his, go back in time., four thousand years to be exact. I purchased Knights of the Old Republic quite recently and I am going to share my adventures with you as they come.

Good idea man, I'm also playing through it at the moment. I completed it a couple of times when it hit the XBox last September, but I recently got it for PC. I look forward to any pictures you send our way.
Keep us posted.

Dactius! You and I could become partners on this little project, I will ask an admin to change the name to Dac and Solid's etc.
This will be some great fun. I will be posting ASAP. I have not been anywhere notable yet. |

Heh, you don't have to do that, it was your idea after all. If you want shots from me though, I don't mind doing that, it's up to you. It is a great game, and has some of the most beautiful landscapes I've ever seen. Makes for great screenshots!

I've seem to run into a problem. I have been taking screen shots and when i paste them into paint its not the picture I took. None of the sprites are on the pic and neither are any parts of the Hud. I am going to try a few more times, and if I fail to succeed then this thread will become obsolete.
Dactrius, I would love for you to be my partner on this. However, could you tell me if you are having the same problem as I have? |

Hmm.. nope, mine are fine. You realise the game saves your screenshots in your Kotor directory? They're PNG files (Argh) but they're there. You can't use paint or a standard windows viewer to open them, but specialised programs like ACDSee will work. I use Internet Explorer to open them, but you can't right-click the image and copy it to paste it elsewhere, it's awkward. Best to open them, print screen and paste them in paint.
You can manually edit a file to save your screenshots without the hud if you want, though I think you need the latest patch. I've done it and it works great. Sorry about the problems you're having, I'm not sure what to suggest.

Just to make sure this thread doesn't go without actual screenshots, here's a picture of my character (Kantaris) fighting sand people on Tatooine. She's a deciple of the dark side (Hence the red lightsabers).
Kantaris VS. Saber fodder I normally play as good people in RPG's (I'm a very good-hearted person I feel bad when I'm being mean), but the range of options and consequences available to a dark-side character is incredible. It's definately worth playing through at least once as both kinds of characters.

I have been doing my best to be evil, no matter how hard it is, because it feels so wrong! It is easier to be good so I'm taking the hard road. Any who, Dac could you tell me what directory I can find my screen shots?

Standard install path:
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR Basically, your screenshots are saved in the Kotor directory.

That is the exact location. Your screenshots are saved as "KotOR0000X" (Where X equals the number of the screenshot). Just follow the route to your Kotor directory and the screenshots are in there. There's no screenshot folder or anything, they're just in the Kotor directory.
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR Note that this is the default directory. If you installed the game anywhere else, then obviously the directory address above will be different for you. If you're still having troubles then I don't know what to suggest. Make sure you have the latest patch I guess.

AHA! I've finally gotten my screen shots working through paint(evil laugh)! Now onto the screens!
Todays image[s]: My trip to tatooine was quite boring, so I decided to stir up trouble with some sand people. |
