Jobs
What does everyone here do to bring home the bacon?
Tell us what your job is. I currently work at a pharmacy as a cashier/pharmacist assistant. It's decent work but I'm kind of starting to stagnant so I'm thinking about finding something else pretty soon. |

I stick the toppings on the top of the Pizza Slut pizzas... i'm not too good at my job as i'm a slow worker who spends too much time thinking (in a head in the clouds sort of way)... i've never even been inclined to be artistic with the toppings, and have only ever cooked 1 pizza with a smiley face on. Apparently i'm dependable because i always check that things are topped up. I do it slowly though ^_^

And if begging can be considered a job, then i got about $2800 in grants from the state to help me through college. And it's also getting my other buyllshit, like car expenses, (and anime) taken care of.

I'm a banqyet wauter at a club on base. Nice customers, good tips, nice atmosphere, the job aint so bad. Except that I can't plan to do anything during the night on the weekends cause I'm working.
But hey, I'm not really complaining.

I work with my dad doing Heating & Air conditioning. He runs the bussinus doing all the (TONS) of paper work and bills and what not, as well as the physical labor with Installs and service. I just assist him as an apprentice. I do alot of driving, picking up supplies from here, taking the to different jobs.
Its not bad at all..in fact..the moore I learn..the more I enjoy it. It can be pretty stressfull at times with me being a rookie and all, and im only making about 7.50 an hour (Regular apprenticeship wages) but after my schooling I could end up making 35.00$ an hour after I become experienced. That may not be a LOT but it will be plenty for me, I grew up in households (More like apartmentholds) where there wasnt much money, so It wont be too diffucult. If it doesent work out though I plan on getting into law enforcement. Id explain why, but thats a long story

Watch what you wish for. My dad is trying to run this businus by himself. Were talkin all the paper work, bills and such, as well as keeping track of all the different appointments, on TOP of being on call 24 hours a day for service calls and doing installation . Not to mention he has a wife and 5 kids. One of wich wants to go to a big expensive college in santa barbera California
As with most small businuses he is in MAJOR debt..but after a while your supposed to start profiting and getting some of that debt paid off. He doesent seem to be doing that. I dont even know how long he will be in businus anymore. Hes a MAJOR christian and belives that god will save his businus, I myself am not so sure. (Whats cool though is that at times he helps people who dont have the money to get thier heat fixed. Just last week he fixed an older gentlemens furnace who cant work and lives in a run down trailer park. My dad told him it was a blessing from god and he doesent need to pay. The man promised he would save up what he could and pay him someday. It was rather inspiring, not smart businus...but inspiring none the less)
