I was kind of surprised (and also pleased) when "Lose Yourself" won for that category, what with the domination of awards for Gangs of New York, Frida, and Chicago. Still watching it as well.

That's sweet that Em pulled out on top this time...but frankly the Oscars bore me so fill me in on anything new seeing as I obviously won't be watching it...

Here, here... I thought the song from Gangs of New York was going to win . I was surprised when Eminem won, too ! But it was good, though... well desserved.
Hm, I kinda wanted Salma Hayek (sp?) to win for best leading actris. Oh, well, Nicole was good for it too Heh, did you see the expression on Brody's face ? The best one so far. ... And Chicago took it this year. ^_^ |

Eh.. good for eminem but the Oscars are a joke. The academy itself really needs to be lined up and beaten for some of thier inept choices for awards. -_-
I'm not watching any more.

Joke or not...... they are the highest award anyone can get when it comes to Movies. I am so glad that The Pianist won a few oscars as well. That movie really deserved it too.
But that guy....... who won for the "Best Documentary"... I cant remember his name....... damn, he really went crazy on the stage didn't he?....... I was shocked like hell.

Yeah, he did go crazy and for no apparent reason. I was surprised 8 Mile was only nominated for one thing. I also felt the highlights were when EMinem won the award and when they got to showing people who have won awards in the past. Esp when they got to Christopher Walken and Jack Nicholson.

I'm so happy Bowling for Columbine won! I asked this kid at Blockbuster if they were getting it in. He was all "well....unless it wins an Oscar *rolls eyes* and I doubt it will...we probably won't carry it". Hehe.....I have to go back and bug him some more now.

And I can say only two things about Michael Moore, the winner of "Best Documentary". 1 - He's a great and brave director (Bowling for Columbine is extraordinary) 2 - His words were just what I wanted to hear. I just hoped that among all the sheep going to the awards there was one with the courage to say what he said! Thanks Mike! |

Psst... Steve Martin is hot. |

I watched the last hour or so, when eminem won and all.
I think its great, a person that speaks his mind is finally awarded for it. Thats the kinda person you would have as a friend. Well, I got mad when they had to bring up the war, it was suppose to take our mind off of it, not remind us. I dont get why they had security there and all, cause I dont think that anybody would have bombed the oscars cause they aint stupid, they aint gonna bomb some place knowing that they are gonna get caught, especially when there is no needed security. *Back to Topic* Man Chicago won a lot of oscars huh, all the time, Chicago, Chicago.... I was dead glad when Eminem won, I was like yess! I wish he was there, he wouldve said something about someone which is always cool. |

Well, my theory is they didn't want him in the building so he was out back in his car waiting. But I could be wrong, I hope I am because that would be just cruel.

I really loved what Adrian said after getting his Best Actor oscar. I actually clapped in my room. That was such a great moment for him and he really put his words so well. Excellent words he used. Seriously.

The best part about the oscars is that when they played the music when the people wouldnt stop talking, now that was funny!

Well, sorry for the late reply but I finally got to watch the Oscars now.
I am so happy that Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (Spirited Away) won Best Animated Feature. I'm also pleased that "Chicago" won Best Picture and Adrien Brody won Best Actor. For those who are complaining that "Chicago" won too many awards, it's a wonderful film, very nice indeed. *I'm happy that "Spirited Away" won, but I am also a bit angry. A few years ago, if this film were to be nominated, it wouldn't have won because no one was into "Japanese animation" in the past. Only now that anime is becoming a bit more "widespread" that it won, IMO. Nonetheless, congratulations Miyazaki! *
