What's the price of knowledge?
Some people said knowledge is dangerous. Some others said knowledge can ruin your life. For others it's one of the most precious things in the whole world and they spend the greatest part of their lives trying to achieve it.
What's the real price of knowledge? It would be better to live a peaceful life ignoring everything or almost everything, or it would be better to follow the road that brings to knowledge (I'm not talking of mere culture here) anyway?

The price of knowledge is usually cynicism.
In my experience the smarter and more knowledgeable about the world someone is the more pessimistic and cynical they are. Another price might be peace of mind.. someone walking around knowing everything about how quickly the world situation is heating up and just how much suffering there is is much less happy than the joe nobody meandering about blissfully unaware of how bad things are.

Depends on what degree of knowledge we are talking about here.
The kind that can take away the world's faith? A degree in a certain area, for example math? Or you can answer just about any question from the top of your head? To me knowledge is not how much you know but what you do when you don't know.

Conquering knowledge to me means to conquer consciousness. It gives you more freedom.
The price of it is getting to know also things you wouldn't like to know |

Knowledge is priceless. Or put in other words, an unaffordable price. What we call "knowledge" is nothing but a mere blink of what knowledge really is on it's wholeness. Our human minds are too limited and restricted to accept the wholeness of knowledge. Moreover, knowledge itself is of no use. It must be always accompined by wisdom. My thoughts towards wisdome are exactly the same as for knowledge. What we considre wisdom and knowledge are insignificant "quatinties" of each comparing them to what they are in their truth.
So no matter how much stuff we know, there's still an unimaginable quantity of other thigns we will never know about. But as Pamela said, only the "wise" "know" what to do reagarding the unknown.

I personally would love top have a surplus of knowlege, of pretty much anything. I don't think it would make me any less happy. I mean, so what if i finally understand everything about the world. That doesn't mean i can't have my own sence of humor and happyness. But a bit of wiseness would be kinda cool. To actually be usefull in the world.

" The people who understand nothing, know nothing!" I go with that if you don't listen to other peoples problems then you know nothing. SO you cant be hurt or dumbend by there problems!

No no no! I did not mean that. It was just by the whole way I made that post. It was all written all kinda philosophically and stuff. So putting the quote of a philosopher would make it more "philosophical nerdish" I dunno. I'm a dork, sorry

I agree with you. People with knowledge shouldn't put down other people just because they don't know something that may be so simple/basic to them.
Knowledge can be a good thing to like medicine and technology.
