The Fear Effect games.
Up until date, I have been quite amazed with the fact that these games are so unpopular... so rarely mentioned...
I have to say that those two games are indeed 2 of the best I have ever played in PSX. Unique and original plots (and quite twisted as well). Outstanding graphics, from the best you can ever see in a PSX game. And if I'm not wrong, it's cel-shading technology (I have problems in recognizing what is exactly cel-shading, but I'm almost sure this game has that kind of graphics) The sound and music score are badass too, of course. The only bad ting I'd mention about these games, is the fact that they were so short... even if each of them was 4 CD's long (yes, just like FF8 or 9 ) I'd like to know who in this forums has played them and liked them. I'd really like to get those games again and revive not so old memories Fear Effect, and Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix, is exactly what I'm talking about.

Indeed, they have pretty mature themes. That is, I think, one of the best things about them. That the theme suits so nicely the plot in both games. And the characters' personalities. Each one of them was real awsome. My favorite was Deke
And Hanna, although she was a whoe, she was absolutely cool as well. But damn, even if it's a kind of mature game, I can not believe it's not popular. I mean, there's a lot of other games whidh are mature as well but still sel a lot ya know?

I'm afraid your right. There's way too many games out there for PSX. But goddammit, that gmae just had too much succes amogn the ppl that knew it.. I mean, all my friends that had it and beated it where like: what a freaking badass game!!!!
It just feels for me that is kinda sad that not so many ppl know it It really deserves more fame IMO Besides, I think it's the best couple of games that you can ever get from Eidos. A thousand times better than Tomb Raider and GEX, I think. Well, even better than the first Soul Reaver, which is another of my favorites, but I really think they did a much better job in FE. CHECK THESE BABIES SO URSELF A FAVOR!!! P.S. And yeah, I've also heard about Earthbound... if I'm not wrong, a version came for N64 as well, but I think it did under either the name of "Eletale" or Earthbound 64, not sure.

Oh, now that you mention that hard drive I remember better... you are right, that game was bound to be released together with that thing. Ah, that was such a long time ago, to think about it...
Now, that you've been the only one kind enuogh not to ignore me in this topic... () Do you have any ideas if Eidos plans to release a new Fearr Effect game for PS2? With this cel shading madness nowadays I'm sure they could do something absolutely fantastic with it. Although I wonder what kind of storyline would the third game have if it was ever made
