Its in the news that Devil May Cry 2 will be on 2 disk DVD. One DVD will be for Dante only, and the other would be for the new character "Lucia".

I am excited. Its just like "Resident Evil 2" (Aah memories)

Rumours added to this news is, that if you pre-purchase the GAME in Japan you will be offered with Replica of Dante's sword Alaster.

I love the sound of TWO DVD DISK. Imagine how big the game could be now!.!

Still Capcom has to confirm everything legally.

Given the way I am, I only see something bad about this: since it's gonna be 2 DVD's, it's likely to cost much more than any other PS2 game, probably between 75-100 dollars Why I think it's bad, is because I know I will expend them for that FREAKING AWSOME GAME.

$49.99 is the price, Frozen, dont know where your drawing your idea from, sir. Even Capcom wouldnt try to pull that kinda thing. I just got that price off of the EB site. They would sell no games at that high a price, everyone would just rent it...

No matter how many DVDs or CDs a pack contains, the price is always the same.

Spider-Man DVD is 2 Disk and cost normal $32 after tax.

I bought the X-files game for the PsOne and it was a 4 disk game, and costed the same. Same for FFVIII.

Like goodman said......its 49.99, so its all cool. I just hope MGS3 is also 2 disk or even 4 5 6,

Oh, really? Knowing that makes my heart feel better sir That happened to me with multi CD PSX games, so I thought It'd happen here as well, but I'm gald it will not

I wanted to get an Xbox for this game, but after hearing that its not the best port on the system (AGAIN), with slow downs and slow frame rates at some areas, I think I will wait for the Ps2 version, I have played quite some games on Xbox and has said "Why and how could they treat a good game like this". I seriously dont wanna freak out while playing MGS2S. A wait is good, and I also have to get VC and the Document first.

And yeah which game did you pay for more which had more CDs in it.

Where I use to live (In the Middle East) the games were DHS 250, avg price. And when I bought the LIMITED EDITION MGS BOX (Which had the most amazing goodies in it) It was DHS 250 as well. I have had never seen a game costing more then 250 there (No matter how many Cds it had)

Now I'm shy to explain why I said what I said, you'll all laugh from my stupidity. When I had a PSX, I had it modded, so all I bought were copied games. Draw your own conclusions.

As for MGS, I guess I'll rent it, I may like it anyways, although I am quite disappointed for what I've heard about it

Its cool, the majority of Ps fans have done that. Its one of the reason Ps did so well in the market. People bought PsOne cause then they'll get burned cames for really extreme cheap price.

I bought "Fear Factor", copied...... and alot more other games too. And you are right, when it comes to burned games, its more expensive that way. But a burned DMC2, wouldn't be on 2 Cds but something like 4 Cds or even 6, as its going to be on 2 DVDs.

And I am quite pissed at MGS2S too you know.

Yeah I felt also buyin a Box just for Sunstance would be a waste.
I WAS contemplating it-the same way I was gonna nuy a Cube just because I heard Final Fantasy Crystal might get there-
but no way.
The Box had probably better online capabilities and thats it for me....no need to spend money on it. I'll wait......impatiently!

New Moves - Dante now has more moves and attacks. As players increase their skill they will be able to execute stunning and effective attacks.

Hell yeah. Got my game informer with pics of these "new moves". They show Dante running up a wall while shooting a demon, landing, flipping over it's head while blasting it, and ripping flesh off with his sword. Other pics show him shooting with crossed guns cause you can aim at more than one target
and the other pics show him shooting behind him without looking

with one hand while blasting in front at something else.
I heard they changed the orb collection also.

ps-Dante is supposed to be an older-wiser demon hunter so they changed his appearence-and the man looks awesome-------

Hmmm, it appears that DMC2 may span 2 discs - but each disc being a separate game to be sold separately... I hope this isn't true - can anyone smell rip-off?

Devil May Cry 2 to be released in two editions

Is the Devil laughing all the way to the bank or is it double lashings of demonic slashing heaven for the gamer?

Devil May Cry 2 will be released in two editions - Dante and Lucia. Although absolute confirmation isn't possible at the time of writing, having spoken to Capcom, it does appear that the two do not feature in the same game edition - meaning it's not merely a packaging promotion.

In other words, you'll have to shell out for two copies if you wanted to play as both characters. Which is a bit miffing - introducing a new character is great but selling her in single fashion isn't so hot.

Dante and Lucia's stories are different, as far as we can tell, which should mean that the two versions should at least differ significantly. So fans of the series could look at it as a chance to get double play out of one release.

We'll just have to wait and see how different the two editions are before we can judge if this is a rather cynical marketing move or double-the-joy gaming. DMC2 should be in the shops next March.

yup, ive been following DMC2 more than any other game, and like what goodman said, i havent heared anything from capcom about it being two separate game.

i'll wait for the official anouncement by capcom, before we jump onto any conclusions.
