SOCOM: US Navy Seals
This game looks like it could be the best action/adventure game of the year. I saw a behind the scenes look at it, and it's amazing! This game even has a headset that you can buy, and the game has a voice recognition system so you can talk to your team! The guys even met with 2 Navy Seals and recorded gunfire so it sounds real on the game (explosions too), they took face scans of them so the characters would look realistic, and this is a really cool part- They set up a whole bunch of tragets to shoot at to see which ones penetrate the easiest. That way, when you're in the game, you can shoot through drywall to the next room or through big crate, but not through cement wall (of course).
Is anyone else looking foward to this game? I think it could even surpass MGS2 for best action/adventure game (gasp!). But we'll see...

From the looks of the BtS in on the OPM disc, I wouldn't even label it an action adventure. More like a Strategic/Adventure game. This is going to set new standards for all games to come. And the voice recognition system is insane, its just as if you were talking on the telephone.
I definatey can't wait until August to play this game. |

Yeah your right, it's more of a strategic action/adventure game. But I doubt it's coming out in August (is it?) I heard september.

From what I've been hearing/reading/seeing, it's gonna be released right alongside the Network adapter (I know I'm gonna get it!)
Also, in the Behind the Scenes video it says that the USB headset will be included. Sugoi, ne?

That'd be sweet to see the headset free with the game!! But would the headset work only for SOCOM or for any game with those capabilities?

I'm pretty sure that it would work with any game, since it is just a USB headset. Though the games that support voice chatting might be limited (then again.. maybe they won't be. *shrugs* I don't work for Sony, or any game developers. )
