Yea, I found out about this a little while ago and its just dumb...

I mean, really... online Shenmue? With fireballs at that? First of all how can a game like shenmue be a MMORPG? What are you going to do? Walk around town endlessly? For this to be good it can't stick to the classic shenmue formula at all. Shenmue is set to mimic real life which, quite frankly, sucks (unless you are ryo, of course).

So, they added fireballs and all this magic stuff so it can be interesting, and fireballs is not shenmue...

OMG, what the hell?

What...oh why, oh why?!?! Alright, this just pisses me off. Making an online game of "Shenmue" is just stupid. "Shemue" is definitely one of those games which must remain one-player only. I mean, what the hell happened to "Shenmue 3"? I busted my ass trying to get through the sequel (with all of Xbox's freezing and re-loading) just to get a cliffhanger ending which made me pine for the next game! And now, instead of doing that, they go off and do an online game? Uggghhhh!!!

I wouldn't worry about it merylsilverburg. I'm sure that Shenmue 3 is still on the way, but interest has greatly fallen in the Shenmue series (unfortunately). I have a feelin that Shenmue Online is just a side story being used to boost interest in Shenmue once again, by getting the name back ouot on the market, in order to make it feasible to make Shenmue 3. Just don't worry everything will work out.

And Chara, Shenmue has been a magical story from the very beginning. However, the story had just barely touched the surface of it. It displayed its "magical properties" at the end of Shenmue 2. I mean, come on, to mirrors that cause a dragon and pheonix to rise out of the earth if put together? Sounds pretty magical to me.

Well all I have to say is I certainly hope you're right because it would be so unfair to those of us who really enjoy the series and stuck with it all the way.
