Favourite/Least Favourite New Series
I made a thread similar to this in the past but since it's been quite some time I'll pose the same question.
What are some of everyone's favourite and least favourite of the new shows/films airing in Japan now? I haven't been keeping up tremendously well but one that I've been following is PeaceMaker Kurogane which is the story of a young boy who is training to fight alongside the shinsegumi so he can avenge the death of his parents killed by rebels. This anime is set in pre-Meiji Era Japan (the end of the Feudal Era and age of samurai) which would be familar to those who've watched Rurouni Kenshin - only this is set from the viewpoint of those who would have been fighting against Kenshin's faction. Sometimes the show is a bit too lighthearted for a historical piece but it keeps me watching as you can tell it's leading to some epic fights. You'll see actual key figures in Japanese history in the show such as Saito Hajime who who a central character in Kenshin. Anyhow, that's one recommendation from me and I don't have any to say are no good quite yet. |

As for me, I've got nothing because I haven't watched any anime in 4 months. So, I guess I can only list the animes I'm looking forward to: Gungrave Kurono Crusade (Gonzo) Gilgamesh (Wow!) Tokyo Godfathers Howling's Moving Castle (Studio Ghibli) and some others I can't remember.
