FF 11 for Xbox?

I heard rumor that there's goin to be FF 11 for Xbox. Which of course with Xbox live supprt. Hmm. Is this true? I have big doubts for this one.

Aside from the upcoming Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals, the Final Fantasy series is a Playstation exclusive.

and FF Tactics Advance of course. But that just goes to show that you'll see FFXI on the Gamecube before you'll ever see it on the X-Box.

Square-Enix have buisness relations with just about everyone except Microsoft:

Sony -> PS2 = FFX-2, FFXI, FFXII etc.
Nintendo -> GBA= FFTA, Seiken Densetsu 1 GC= Gamecube
PC Companies, like Nvidia and ATI = Nicer Graphics for the PC version of FFXI.

So no to microsoft. Square's money troubles are long gone so theres no need for talk with Billzebub Gates.

Xbox is evil...

plain and simple, PS2 gave them MGS in exchange for Age of EMpires and some Flight Sims and they went and made MGS substance and we got nothing. At least we still GTA

I've been looking forward to Age of Empires for the ps2 for the last 2 years! It wasn't an even trade to begin with...but to get nothing in return yet is a total disgrace.

I mentioned it in my post, and yes it is for the PC as well... it will probably be the prefered way of playing in Europe at least (or maybe even the only way). So then... why is it that when a game is on the PS2 and PC, it is called a PS2 exclusive? :/

Oh, who knows. Maybe because it'll be out for PS2 first? Maybe because some people just don't know it'll be out for PC too? Maybe because, until recently, the Final Fantasy series was a Playstation exclusive?

You've got me.

I know that VII was out on the computer. So this wouldn't be the first. But I think when they say exclusive they mean it's going to be exclusive to the ps2 ad far as consoles go.

7 and 8 were PC games, but suffered pretty average sales due to pretty poor conversions (they were ported with 1 or 2 enhancements, crappy music and a mixed sucess with the fmvs - 7's were terrible and fuzzy, 8's were crystal clear and actually better than the PSOne originals).

9 didn't come out on the PC because of the complete lack of success with the other 2 (and the style of 9 would go down even worse)... hence the reason I actually own a Playstation

. 11 is the perfect candidate for a PC release as online games have been a mainstay of PC gaming for at least 10 years, if not more.

and yes, the "exclusive" status of a title always seems to be down to Consoles and PCs being so spectacuarly different. Dispite the fact that games are games... oh well, i'm sure it sells them more consoles, so whatever...
