I have a great friend! Do you?
Well this is not to say that you dont, but I just wanted to know. I have this friend....his name is "Mudassar".. I know its hard to pronounce, so lets call him Muddy. He is known on XBOX LIVE as CounterSnake (guess who came up with that name)
So yeah, I met him back in 1999, in Dubai......he recenly bought a PSone, and told me that he has some games but not that many. I didn't really talk to him and we were not friends but...just to make sure he has a good time with his PsONe, I recommended him "Metal Gear Solid". After that....it was history. He became a METAL GEAR fanatic just like me, and we kinda became really good friends. Then I left for Canada.....in 2001...didn't really talk to him for like 4 years, but then he also moved to Canada Toronto. And now we go to the same College. But thats just a back story to what I am going to tell you. So yeah, we are like Best Friends now.... and he is a great person. I made him buy an XBOX360 and now he is 24/7 on XBOX LIVE and all. We play COD4 everyday or Gears or HALO 3 or whatever! Bottom line, we are like Brothers (As I dont have any of my own)... So this Muddy... is getting me a birthday gift. You ask .. what it is.... 1.) PlayStation 3 (Most likely the new 120 GB) 2.) Uncharted 3.) Ratchet And Clank Future: Tools of Destruction 4.) Warhawk 5.) Resistance 6.) Gran Turismo 5 Prologue 7.) 2 Extra SixAxis controllers 8.) 5-6 Blu-Ray movies. Pretty good stuff as you would think. He is a great friend. But you might wonder why..... Well a tragic thing happened to him about 2 years ago. He was getting off from a Toronto Bus, as we he run over a stolen van which was being chased by a cop. He flew 30 ft, and well was in the hospital for about 8 months. Recovered completely but he has Steel Rods in his complete left leg and left arm. But after all that, he is sueing the Toronto Bus Services (The Bus Driver was suppose to see the chase and not let him leave the bus) and the Toronto Police Department (Its not allowed to chase a car here on the streets). And he is getting couple of millions from it...about 5-8. It will be done on Feb 6th 2008. It took about 2 years to settle the case. Well, I do feel bad for the chap...as he cant play Cricket or run or even Drive properly......but he as recovered pretty good and is working at Best Buy here (Which I recommended him the job). So dont think that I am an evil friend and using his misery for my self. We are crazy friends and insanely frank with each other. But do you have crazy good friends?... I've got one....do you.

To answer your question: no, I don't have a great friend such as yours. Because you know what I find great in your friendship? Not that your friend is getting you all these cool things. I find great that in such an extraordinarily unfortunate situation he could still think about you. I would never think about a friend in a situation like that. Money or not. I'd be thinking about myself. My friends would do the same, I think. It's great to have somebody thinking about you when they should be thinking about themselves. After all what's happened to him. i mean... wow!

And yes I have a couple really good friends like that. I don't have a lot of friends that I consider really close. A few REALLY good friends is all someone really needs in life and it is better that way so you can give them the attention they deserve. RED

All girl friends I used to have were not that great. They all ended caring about their own business when they had to choose among friendship and themselves. The nicest persons I've known are not exactly to be considered best friends, but I honestly prefer relating to someone who I cannot label as "best" friend when this person is honest, respectful, reliable. I don't care about fancy things: presents, going out to have fun all the time, etc. If after that you're left alone, what's the use of it?

The "best" friends are who call when you need it, who reach out when you dont expect or ask for it. You got it right, Psychopu, as id expect you would ......... Thank god for the friends who are friends "just because".
