My mic for socom doesnt work

My mic for socom isnt working im doing what the instructions say but its a no go.What should i do.Is there some sort of trick

My mic isn't working either. Well i can hear people but they cant hear me. I have a cable connection and i run my connection stait from my modem to the ps2. And yes i hold down the O button.

Man thats just wierd.I follow the directions and stuff but my teammates dont hear crap.Well im getting mine exchanged.

No i havent gotten mine online yet.Im doing that next week.Im saying on single player it doesnt work to send messages to your team mates.

Hmmodd...mine works fine. I talked (Via chat text) to a few guys in the game lobbys that said there mics didnt work. Smart to stick to single player without it though its somewhat vital to multi-player

I just tested the mic in my pc and it worked. So i know the mic isn't broken. Good thing i was about to waste my time and exchange the game.

I tried that in mine and it didnt work so i dont know whats up

I still cant get it to work. I tested it in both online and offline. In offline i would say "Team Hold Position" and nothing would happen. I tried it multiple times loud and soft close and near to the mic. I always hear fine its just the stupid mic. Please help me!!

Yeah i just got a new copy and my mic works now and man is it sweet.Im happy.Next week i get the adapter.

Is that one of the correct ways to say a command? Cuz in mission 1 i say "Team Hold Postion" and nothing happens. HELP ME PLEASE!!! I'm trying to figure out if i have a bad mic too.

It sounds like your doing it right my problem is I talk during single player and it works I go online I push the circle button I hear a chirp then I speak and nobody replies I dont know if they hear me or If Im doing something wrong If somebody has some info for me I would appreciate it greatly.

Your mic isn't working? Well that sucks, lol. I haven't had a problem with mine at all. How is the game going for you guys? It's going good over here, but I have yet to get online for the ps2, and I can't wait to play twisted metal black online, that is gonna rock. Check out the socom site at www.socom.scea.com as it's a fun way to pass the time. Also, MY DAWGS WON! HECK YEAH! We are no longer embarrassed to be beaten by the ****s. Even if they had beat us, the still have like fifty to go before they're even close to tying the record. Besides, SC sucks this year. And my Canes are doing quite well too, I believe. Later, b's.

Well I may be asble to diagnose the problem for the faulty mics. Bottom line if U are playing over a router that totes a firewall you CANT hear incoming voice messages when playing online. What U need to do if thsi is the problem is find the ports U need to open on the router to send and recive. Ive been trying for weeks and have failed. I am still searching though. If any of you happen to know what ports need to be open, id be VERy thankful.

P.S. YES I AM 100% sure that this IS the problem ive been investigating for a while

I got it working , I had to do away with the router and now it works fine so thanks anyway .
