Shaun Ryder + Grand Theft Auto !

No really. In one of the most surreal twists of my life, it would appear (from great internet rumour) that former Happy Mondays frontman (and a nemesis of some) is to voice a character in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

According to the piece, GTA: SA will include a 22-year-old white male from Manchester called Maccer, and who else would be better suited to the role? Certainly not Tony Wilson, Vini Reilly or Mozzer.

Given the nature of the leak, this is all entirely speculation at this point, though some of the more interesting gossip to attach itself to GTA for some time.

Expect clarification at this May's E3.

That Ryder! Always planning something criminal to ruin everybody's else life!

But I admit I can see some sort of affinity among GTA games and him...

I'm curious to see if he's really going to be in the next game! It could be hilarious...
