If you shoot all 64-some odd number of the Kerotan frogs you get a special camo. They carry over to the next game, so you don't have to go back and get the ones you've already gotten again when you start a new game.

Killing the bosses with the tranq only lets you get their camos.

You can't CQC the Boss because she is the master of it. The only time it works on her is while she is grabbing you, mash the buttons, and 90% of the time you'll counter her and you'll get a free shot.

I just recently rented this game, and I'm a bit skeptical on the animal killing. I have a weak heart when it comes to killing animals (I get real pissed off when I even hear a dog whimper/wimper), and so I was just wondering if I should be playing this game at all?

Well when that dog comes running at you in the game and attacks you, you will probally have a change of heart

well you do have an option to not kill the animals. there are enough rations, instant noodles, and caloriemate in the game that could substitute as your food. or you could get The Ends camo and not worry about eating anymore.

You can also gather a lot of fruit from the trees just by shooting a dart at them. In the very beginning, there are quite a few of green fruits that look a lot like pears. Snake really likes them, and they recover a lot of stamina. The problem with rations is that they taste terrible and don't recover you very well. But yeah, hunt for a lot of fruit if you don't want to kill animals.

This games insane, I’ve done 14 hours on it now, and still going strong, got me addicted like mgs1 and mgs2.

The End boss took me a hour and 10 minutes lol, best boss fight up to yet.

Hmmm yes, this games damn good so far.

You need to use the Revive Pill when he kills you.

It was given to you before you started your mission.

Thanks, Any way I just completed Snake Eater, what can I say, its was absolutely amazing, the story all connects, better story then MGS1 and MGS 2 imo. hehe, true masterpiece.

and btw what kind of mini games and unlockables did you get, all we got here in the u.s. version is Snake vs. Monkey mode.

Hey Vic, the snake versus monkey mode was already playable without completing the game I think, I played the game in normal and got a shark rank, which i was rewarded with the patriot machine gun, tuxedo, camera, basics things really.

Lol I didn’t collect anything from the bosses, maybe because at the time i didn’t know you could (I tired to read not single review of snake eater and keep put of metal gear solid discussion threads) in case it ruined the story lol, anyway I’ll play through it on extreme soon, yeah I also unlocked European extreme, I remember on MGS 2 that was just to frickin impossible, anyway il check out all those secret camos and such on my next game I play!

can you collect dog tags ? i miss the dog tag collection in mgs3.

btw, you can also get Ocelots Revolver. at the very end, if you choose the revolver on the right, you will unlock the revolver.

Yes I unlocked them too.

As for the revolver I chose the left one so therefore you cant choose the unloaded gun? only the one with a bullet in!?

No you can't get dog tags in mgs3 in the euro version (so I think ), cus when you kick the shit out of the boss her dog tag would of dropped like when you fought liquid snake in twin snakes on top of the rex his dog tag dropped.

Plus when I held someone up they never dopped tags, oh well.
