Jurassic Park: Project Genesis
Has anyone else heard of this game. It looks incredibly interesting. Basically you create your own Jurassic Park with 25 different dino species. And you have to manage the park or else the dino's will get loose and eat all your costumers! There are also missions where you can take s I played the PC demo and the dino ai and animation is incredible. I hope this game turns out to be a great one. check out more info here.

but the thing that is going for this game is that it really isn't based on a specific JP movie. It is based off the general premise of JP-Building a Park and occupying it with incredible and dangerous dinos. It would be like if JP had succeeded in the first movie. I think this game has quite a bit of potential.

Actually, I agree, it does sound like a fun idea. Can you let dinos loose on bitching customers, though? I suppose you could design it poorly on purpoise if you wanted to. Maybe you could put a raptor pit near the kiddy play area, for example. mwahahahaha! Oh, the diabolical possibilities! PLaying god couldnt be more fun!

You could probably buy the crappy fences for the really dangerous dinos and when they go on a rampage they would just tear through the fence like tissue paper. But no kiddies in this game (to bad because all the kids from the Jurassic Park movies were annoying.)

No wonder, some game anti-protesters would not find it enteraining watch a little kid getting ripped apart by a t-rex

I guess it sounds like an interesting game, but I don't think I'd buy it. I'll probably just rent it.

I think I am mostly interested in the Dino AI and behavior. But I also wouldn't want to see kids ripped apart....

In the demo you only get 3 dinos you can create, which consist of Galimimus, Triceritops and T-rex. Now in the beginning you can choose from either doing missions or just experimenting with dinos on Site B. Now I usually create a bunch of galimimus and usually they heard with each other. Then I create say 2 or 3 triceritops which also stick around in herds, and then I create one or two T-rexs and then it gets interesting because the t-rex has intersting AI. The T-rex, when they first start out, usually try to determine which one is the better t-rex, so they may have a small roaring and biting contest, but they don't kill each other. Soon one is the decided winner and the other runs away and usually they live peacefully together. Now once they are all settled in they start to get hungery and usually attack whatever they can find, from the goats or cows that you can manually dispence, or they try to find a triceritops or galimimus to snack on. Usually i don't create the goat dispensers so they will chase and persue a galimimus and attack. Triceritops encounters on the other hand, go differently. Often times I find that the triceritops wins the battles because they do a lot of damage with thier horns. Other than that the Ai really has to be seen for itself and when you throw the other 22 dinos they will have in the full game I am sure it will be much more interesting. But generally they know how to -Eat -Sleep -Fight -Herd -socialize and -hunt So overall this is one of the better JP games I have played. |

Sounds strange...either a killer or a total dissapointment.
Anyone remember the JP-game for the snes it was the first game I've ever played that had a fps part in it, I guess that was very revolutionary in game play in those days( at least for consoles it is). Can't remember the exact title but does anyone remember what I'm talking about?
