Recently I was reading a South Australian weekly newspaper and came accross the technology section to find a review of Final Fantasy 10. Owning the game I was intriged and to my disgust stated at the end "try before you buy".

I don't know what you other guys think but this is not right FFX is probably the best game I have played on the PS2. I suppose it's a matter of opinion but it was pretty harsh. Thoughts?

It's a great game...but it pales in comparison to previous offerings. 7, 8, and 9 were much better.

I do agree with your point. I very much enjoyed ff7 but ff8 I didn't think was as good and I didn't really get into ff9 all that much because i got it for 2 night rental.

Anyway ff10 might not be as good as the others ff's but it still is one of the best ps2 games.

Neither FF7, 8 or 9 stand a little chance against FFX into what is Graphics and gameplay. FFX was absolutely far superior. The only thing I'd say about the previous Final Fantasy games, is that they had better storylines (although I liked FFX's better than FF IX's )

I mean, with that kind of RPG you'll never know how really good it is unless you beat it, or play quite a lot of time such game.

If you're someone who judges a lot by graphics, sound, and gameplay, then you definitely have to try a game before you buy it....

But it is an unarguable fact that FFX graphics are some of the best (if not the best) among all RPG's.

But well, at the end it is just a matter of tastes and opinions to let you judge if yuor gonna buy it or not, I guess.

I never liked the Final Fantasy games untill my friend let me borrow FFX. I like the idea of uprading characters. Anyway, with the try before you buy, I guess it is a good idea so people don't buy it straight away and realise how much of a waste it was. My friend bought it without even knowing about what the game is about and he hated it. He keeps telling me to buy it off him for $50. I would if I had the money.
