Yeah, I just read a little something about a sequel in OPM...no offense to diehard fans, but I'm not too excited about it..."God of War" wasn't really one of my favorites, despite some good aspects about it. But, I'm sure many others are happy with the news.

Alot of people share your same opinion about GoW,
God of War was my pick for GOTY 2005. Resident Evil 4, was alot of fun, but...it was kinda easy, even on professional I had ample ammo, ample herbs, sprays..etc.. It was a fun polished game..no doubt about it, but I like a good challenge, something that just makes me want to yell mean things at my ps2. God Mode and Challenge of the Gods provided that.

Flashbacks though, are a good way to develope a character if they are done the correct way, i thought GOW did well in this depeartment. I mean the game starts just as Kratos jumps off a cliff. I remember wondering what drove him to such extremes, it was motivation to drudge thru some of the more difficult situations.

I am crazy excited about this game. This game looks wicked cool, and has some really neat things going for it.
1) The graphics look amazing. For a Playstation 2 title, it needs to be rated as one of the best looking Playstation 2 titles around. It, in my humble opinion, looks just as good as some Playstation 3 games I have seen in video. 2) The physics look almost the same as the original God of War, but that is what makes the game so great. Having the ability to do amazingly cool things, and have the level of freedom that this game has, cannot be beat by any other game. Heavenly Sword might make this game look last generation, though. But, anywho, only time will tell. Great things are being said about this game, though. It is known as a great highlight of the E3 Expo 2006. It's just that the next generation games and consoles, stole it's thunder. I am glad that games like Final Fantasy XII and God of War II are still making the Playstation 2 look like a great console. Just think of what these games are going to play and look like on the Playstation 3... stunning. |

direct feed of the E3 demo from start to finish. It's definately a plus to have the lead animator of the last game, as the director of the new game.

I hope to be picking up a copy tomorrow with any luck.
Played thru the first game on Spartan Mode to refresh my skill and knowledge of the GoW universe, ended up getting ensnared by it's awsomeness, i haven't had a gaming session that long in awhile, a good 3 hours at least. I just couldn't put the controller down, ..played thru the demo for GoWII, Kratos' animations have been improved, much of his attacks have been as well. Graphics look great, and the sound/music is well done, from what little was sampled. The demo ended abruptly, i had to play thru it again just to see if it was a timed demo, or if that was really the end.
