I'm having problems defeating the boss Evrae on the Airship. I always die and it seems that my attacks don't go above 800. Does anyone know an effective attack that would help me in defeating this red carpet with teeth.

as far as I can remember, you'll want to keep the airship "at a distance" from evrae a lot - this way you'll get the airship to fire rockets at Evrae, which'll do a lot of your damge for you. Apart from that, its best to keep out of range as a rule - I can't remeber exactly, but I seem to remember Wakka and Lulu coming in handy (I think some of the people that can't "fight" from a distance can use "fighting moves" - their skills and abilities - but don't hold me to it :/ )

Yes, it is good to stay away and have the airship fire away at Evrae. However, you may want to stay in close once in a while.

Evrae is affected by Armor Break and Mental Break (if I remember correctly). Have Auron, Tidus, and Wakka attack him with Overdrives and he should be down.

When he breathes in to do his breath attack, move away and he'll lose a turn while you can bring in Lulu and cast away.

Dude, level up your characters And yeah, always have in mind you gotta keep your distance. But I believe you have a problem with your level if you say your attacks won't come above 800 :\

you may get ur ass kicked on this fight, but in the next fight wit evrae, just give him a x potion and hell b down completely

You should level up a lot. I had a hard time the first time I fought that guy too. I started a new game that I trained my guy a lot in, then when I got to that fight again It was really easy.

Just don't use weapons with elemental attributes, make sure Tidus has his final overdrive, and you may want to level up.
