Film- Saddest moments.
(SPOILER WARNING- WATCH OUT!)
Do you have any favourite moments in films which had you almost in tears, or weeping uncontrollably? I love when films do that to me. Here's some of mine. Armageddon - When Harry [Bruce Willis] says goodbye to his daughter and all of his friends over the videolink. The Green Mile - ..Take yer pick. Tenchi Universe - When Ryoko is flying away from Jurai, and her hand falls limp from the command chair, Ryo-ohki howls then the screen goes blank. Forrest Gump - When Forrest is talking to Jenny's grave. What Dreams May Come - Again, take your pick. There's tons. Braveheart - When William Wallace dies at the end. Return of the Jedi - When Yoda dies. Gladiator - When Maximus returns home to find his family hung (or crucified.. it doesn't really show). When Maximus dies at the end. Bambi - When Bambi's mom dies... Can't help it. I'm a sap. Anyway.. what are some of y'alls?

The Truth About Cats and Dogs: A romantic comedy (I'm a sucker for these ) that's pretty sad, because the main character thought she wasn't attractive at all to get a guy, and that's how I felt back then too. Kikujiro no Natsu(Kikujiro): Even though I've only seen the middle to the end of this film, it was really depressing to me. I just felt the lonliness of both the boy and the gangster guy and it was sweet yet sad. The Luzhin(sp?) Defense: Man oh man....this is a good film, but it was really, really, really sad at the end, when the main character dies. God, and he went through all that crap....it's just awful. But, it's really good film anyway. Ahh....that's all I can think of for now. Post more later when I can think of more. |

It was already posted, but I think that the saddest ending to a movie was the scene in the gladiator. I didn't cry, but it still made me feel really sad.

But yes, the whole thing was depressing. Not even that everybody was "dying", but that it was a final death. Those idiot aliens (blew up thier own planet and were just SO mad because of it.. -_-) absorbed the earth gaia energy, so in the end none of them went back to earth's Gaia to be reborn. Plus.. like.. everybody died..! There were no "few survivors" out of the bunch.. if my memory serves me correctly only the main chatacter survived out of that whole bunch of military.. the whole city died, everyone on the space station died. Lots of death. 'least the ones on the space station probably went back to Gaia though. City of Angels was a real bummer too.. went through all that trouble to become human only to have the reason he did transsubstantiate (is that what it's called?) die and leave him alone.

When Julia gets shot at the end of Cowboy Bebob.
I know it's not a movie, or even american, but that's the saddest thing I ever saw.

How about in aliens resurrection, when riplie's alien child dies by getting sucked out of that ship at the end?
I broke out into tears.

I hate all movies where there's animals dyin' it it... I can't stand that.
Also, a few more that are kinda sad: - Edward Scissor hands: Come on ! That's one heck of a sad movie ! - What dreams may come: That movie with Robin Williams was quite touchin'... I can't really think of any other ones for the moment... |

Bassically, all of the above.
Bambi...it was so sad. She didn't desserve to die. Gladiator...Oh man, that was unforgivable! I think those too are the ones that I thought were so terribly sad. *sniff sniff* And by the way, I also liked Final Fantasy! Sure, it wasn't as best as it could have been but it was quite sad nonetheless. I thought it was a good movie. |

...well, I guess it was kinda sad. The thing was "innocent" after all, it was only following it's nature when it was killing. Though that could be said for all of the aliens.

How about American History X where Danny Vineyard gets shot in the bathroom by the African american.
I get so sad yet pissed off, because he finally changed his ways and then that guy smokes him anyway!

I was pissed off to. Finally realized that he was f***** up in the head and started to change, then that little gun toting hood rat coward blew him away anyway.. *mutters*
It was more angering than sad, though, I think.

The death of anakin (lukes father) in return of the jedi was pretty moving.

Moving, but not really sad. ^_^ You knew that in the end he was redeemed, so he would go into the light side of the force.
