I'm really confused by Doomtrain GF: I've read somewhere you can only get it thru a long and difficult process... How?
What do I need to get it? It's not from another character like Pandemona, right?

not like pandemona? if you mean that you have to draw it from an enemy... that would be far far too easy. ^_^

What you need is:
Steel Pipe x6 (Steal or Win from Wendigos - Supposedly from around where Galabadia Garden was)

Malboro Tentacle x6 ("The Island Closest to Heaven / Hell" and Esthar's Grandidi Forest - Steal from Malboros.)
- Malboros are awful enemies. They use "Bad Breath" which inflicts Pain, Sleep, Confuse, and Berserk on your entire party in one hit, and always very early into the battle... so try to get a character junctioned with a GF that has Status protection (get lots of those 4 types of magic, and junction them to Status Defence, and they have a higher chance of surviving a Bad Breath attack). Malboros also have very high HP.
Otherwise you essentially have 3 options:
1. You could play over and over again and hope for Odin/Giglamesh to do your dirty work... but that would take absolutely ages.
2. Have the Steal ability (and the Initative ability also helps) junctioned, go into battle and steal from the Malboro, and then run as fast as your lil' legs can carry you.
3. Unleash Lionheart (Squall's best Limit Break) or a Boosted Eden summon for a one hit kill at the begining of each fight. (unlikely to work)
Finnally, Malboro cards can be refined using Quezecoatl's Card refining ability... but its 3cards-1tentacle refining and could be very very long

Remedy+ x6 (buy 60 Remedy's from a shop, and use GF-Alexander's "MED LV UP" ability - once you've got it learnt of course - to refine 6 of these) Edit: don't miss GF-Alexander! Hint: you should have it right before the end of Disc2.

Solomon's Ring (Obtained from "Tear's Point" - the place underneath where Lunatic Pandora stops (Get out and walk to it))

Use Solomon's ring in your inventory after you have all these items, and you'll get GF Doomtrain. Its worth noting that you can't fight Marlboros or gain the Ring until you get to Esthar on Disc 3 though.

This is even more complicated than I was expecting!
