I'm one of the most pethetic poeple you will ever know, and the woird courage is one of the words that discribes me the least, as a matter of fact, it opposes me. The whole idea of doing something that requires "balls" isn't an idea that comes to me often. I leave that sort of thing for my friends, i just watch.

Oh well, sucks to be me i suppose.

Don't worry about it, it's good to be a guy who doesn't have the heart to hurt someone, or say shut up. I too, sometimes watch saying shut up too, you never know when it might be a gang member...

I can tell people to get lost and shut up but i could never ever approach a guy i liked! ever! I am afraid of humiliation! If i was to chat a guy up and he said sorry no i would just die!
I fi liked a guy i would wait for him to approach me which normally never happens as i think i scare people!

I have no problems hitting guys or telling them to shut up. Around girls i get a little nervous because i dont want to say something stupid. Im not that nervous any more because I have been getting more popular at my school. Popularity is the best.

Some people say I would be a "playa" if I didnt have such a huge problem with talking to girls. Some of the hottest girls like me but I dont really talk that well with girls because my first impressions are always awful(I say something stupid, do something stupid, eat something stupid, drink something stupid, etc.).

But what Im really puzzled about is why girls think I am gay when i first meet them. I have no idea as to what would amke them think that. Actually its quite disturbing....

Haha I have no courage at all. Omg I have a lot of trouble talkin to guys. But ya know I gotta do what I gotta do. There is this blazin guy at my school. Hes soo fine, hes funny, and well built.
Hehe.....Anyways my quincenera is in june so I built up my strength and asked him to be my escort and he said yes. So its all good. But I still have trouble talkin to guys. I worry that im gonna say the wrong thing and embarass myself. As for telling people to shut up, I cant do it. Im too soft and plus add the fact im shy.

I mean, why lose a perfectly fine opportunity? Aren't you curious what the person would have said if you had asked and hadn't hesitated??? It would drive me mad.

I HATE it when guys aren't ambitious!!! I mean just DO it!!! It won't kill you!!! Have confidence but don't get all huffy if it isn't the answer you want, if it is, then congrats!! It's not like a life or death decision!!! C'mon you guys!!! Jeepers! What if the person you have your eye on is too shy, but really does like you, and you've never asked him/her out? WHAT IF?!!?!

Some people are afraid of rejection. Some people get embarrassed too easily. I understand that it's all a part of life and people have to just move on, but there are just some who can't do it. I mean, sure they will be curious on what the other person would say, but to them, they feel it's better not knowing than going through it and feel stupid afterwards when they are denied.

Guys get "huffy" because to be honest (and please don't take offense guys) men are very afraid of rejection (at least the ones that I've been studying). And not only that, but it tends to be that teenage guys who are usually the ones who lack the confidence they need to ask the person they like out. They're afraid of rejection a lot. But besides that, a lot of guys get all nervous whenever they encounter a situation such as this because they're afraid that the girl might be "out of their league" or might say "no" and don't want to go through with it.

That must be really annoying. I'd hate it if every time I first met someone they would think I'm gay. To be honest my girlfriend even asked me that once.

Ain't that the truth! I don't see anything wrong with thinking that because I am really afraid of rejection. I can't take it, I feel I've been rejected all my life by my peers and I don't want to feel like that, but I feel I've made some very good friends over this internet thing.

Nah, girls dont look at me and view me as gay (is it even possible to do that?). Once I start talking to them, they think I am gay. But I think its something that the girls around here got accustomed to in guys that I dont have. Maybe the wanna be gangsta image that most people put out here.

I dont try to put out no "gangsta" image. I try to be me. And my personality is rather odd...

I know what you mean Meryl (about the guy being afraid of rejection), but it just bothers the heck out of me!! I mean... why go on wondering when you could just find out in a matter of minutes!

Like I said before, it wont kill you; unless she's an axe murderer!!

Try not to make such a big deal about asking people out; if they say no, maybe they weren't good enough for you in the first place... maybe you are going to find someone better the next day... maybe /they/ are afraid to be in a relationship and just arent ready!!
There are so many possibilities! So many chances!! SO much HOPE for all you young and afraid people out there!!!
