Mena seems to like it. And to me she is the Soul Caliber afficionado... so I think I will buy it... when the price has come down of course

Yes, like gameplay and various modes and the such. And even story-wise as well...the storyline in SC3 is a bit "Ehh..." at least for me.

Well everyone has different tastes; I prefer the game to feel more "Soul Calibur-ish" rather than this...I mean, I've been a diehard fan of the series ever since "Soul Blade" for the PS1...and there are some elements of "SB" in "SC3" (such as the difficulty and the interactive endings/cutscenes), but it's just not quite the same.

I played the demo. It felt a little different, but I havent been a diehard fan of the series since Soul Blade like Meryl and I dont even really remember SC1 all that well so I guess I dont have much of an objective mind with this one. I did have SC2 but I didnt play it and master it enough to really get a complete feel for it. So I don't have much comment really except that this seems to be a better than average fighting game.

OK, I really liked the idea of the "dark" stage(don't remember what it's called, the one with the spot lights). Plus the pirateship stage kicks ass.
