what are the best 2 player games out there worth buying?

Hi! just wanna ask you guys what are the good games for multiplayer like fighting, sports etc. in the PS2 a nice multiplayer where theres a competition and or cooperation, how about fighting games (I already have VF4)

except NBA 2K3 cause Im rally sure gonna get it!

cause sometimes it's kinda boring playing alone, I need 2 player games (cooperative, competition etc.)

I mean 2 players not multiplayer on the net

well I'm not sure if Twisted Metal Black is an action adventure gam ebut thats good, and Red Faction is awesome, also there's I've heard good things about Contra: Shattered Soldier

Ok well this is a computer game but it can be a Co-op deal, Swat 3 Tactical Game of the Year edition. thats an awesome game but you gotta have 2 comps, and as for multi-co-op for ps2 maybe gauntlet, or maybe I guess a sports game..........
or there are those games at the arcade that you see that are shoot em ups that might be on ps2

If your looking for fun games to play two players, i suggest Off Road Fury. Its a classic so you can get it cheep. Its alot of fun and its kind unique. The second one is comming out shortly and its going to be amazing. Maybe something like a Tony Hawk but maybe in BMX or Rollarblading.

Look into games like Smackdown: Shut your mouth, due out in a month or two, and of course NHL 2003 will be out in a few weeks. Hope that helps

Usually those wrestling games have nice multi player game modes, although I don't know which to recommend as I don't play the mat all.

But I just got DOA 2: Hardcore a couple of days ago, and even if it's an old game, man, it's lots of fun, I really like it.

Tekken 4 will be coming out real soon (next week, I believe) so I suggest you go for it as well.

Those are my recommendations as for fighting games. I haven't played any action games so far on the PS 2 (only DMC but it's only one player)
