I've heard rockstar Courtney Love and Ai Yazawa are working together on a new fantasy manga called Princess Ai. Is it true or is it only a rumour? From what I know this series will be inspired by Courtney Love and her musical works themselves. Imagery from Princess Ai will be included in upcoming Love's album, videos and tour.

I know what you already said in your post: Courtney Love is collaborating with Tokyopop Inc to create this series called Princess Ai (Ai means Love, so it's obvious it will contain autobiographical references to Love's career and works). It's also true that Ai Yazawa will probably design this series. The plot is still uncertain, but it seems it'll be a sci-fi shoujo.

I personally do not like Courtney Love and Yazawa is one of my favorite mangaka.

Sorry, I know this is an old thread, but I thought it'd be pointless to start a new one just to add some more information on this.

Anyway, apparently the collaboration with Courtney Love and Yazawa, Ai is actually true because Courtney's new album "America's Sweetheart" has a drawing done by Yazawa on the cover. This version is only in Japan though.
