So did anyone buy this game or rent it perhaps? I myself bought the game and beat it in three days. First off, it was a big improvement over the other Tomb Raider games. Much better then TR: AoD I think development wise. There were no glitches or bugs, etc. The graphics were just amazing, the areas you go to were interesting. For example in one level you go to tokyo japan, you have to climb to rooftops and kill the bad guys. In this game she is more acrobatic, there is a lot of climbing, jumping, swinging, etc. Also you get to ride motorcycles a few times, you get to go off jumps and shoot guys off their bikes. During the game there are cinematic action scenes where you have to press certain buttons in a few seconds or you will cost Lara her life, very similar to RE4 where you either have to press L1& R1 or square and X to survive. Plus the dialogue was pretty good, my favorite line was near the end, it made her sound bad ass, I loved it. Overall it was a good game. I just wish there was more of it. It could have had more levels I think. If you're an avid TR fan then buy it, if not it would be a good rental game. Either way you'll get to experience a pretty good game.

Yes I bought it. I wasn't going to at first, but I played the demo and it seemed pretty solid and fun, so I bought it. And yeah I agree it was incredibly short because I also beat it in 3 days, but it's not so bad.

I think Crystal Dynamics did a fantastic job, the voice acting was very good, the graphics were very nice, and the little details they paid attention to really made me appreciate them even more than I already did (I loved their "Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver" series). But certain things, such as the combat, which could've been spruced up a bit, and cinematic sequences ala RE4, as REChick said, or God of War or Indigo Prophecy could've been left out, IMO.

Unfortunately, many people are still complaining about the game. When I was writing the review, I went on to the official Tomb Raider site and checked out their forums and there were tons of people just complaining: "The conversations between Lara and Zip and Alister are soooo stupid!", "The graphics could've been better!!", "The game is waaay too short!" and so on. These people need to get a life; it's these stupid people that stuck by that stinkhole of a game "Angel of Darkness" but complain about "Legend" when, hello, this game has brought the series slightly back up from the rotting pile of crap it's been festering in. These are also the same retards that complained about lacking of "city levels" after the second game and then when there's a ton of city levels, they complain about the lack of "tomb raiding." Unbelievable this world...

Anyway, ranting aside, overall a great game which I hope CD will retain some of the great elements of this game in the next, along with some more improvements on combat and fresher and original concepts.

I bought it today...only played it like 20 minutes...so i can't say much yet...but so far seems better than AOD.

Is it just me or did they made Lara look more like Jolie?? I only saw the commercial spots, but I thought they changed her appereance somewhat??

My feelings? I started the game, and couldn't put it down until I had finished it. Yes it was a bit short, but what a ride! I would put in the top 5 games this year.

I rented it off of gamefly for 360 not too long ago, I've only played up to through the first motorcycle level [assuming that there will be more] so far. The platforming is very enjoyable, but the gun-play is too bland. It is a step in the right direction for the series, but I feel that it would be much more amazing if these improvements were implemented back in the day when the series first started, as it feels 'done before and so-so' nowadays.
